It’s a joke
Normally, I don’t write reviews. I use Vitamix Blenders for more than 10 years regularly. So this is essential part of my life and diet. This is the second blade ordered. Same as the first one, it is not compatible with Vitamix 50xx series and has different size and quality. See images. The received one is shorter than the original one, shorter thread, does not have rubber sealant vs the original one. Without rubber sealant the water/wet will get inside cause rust and affect bearing to fail very soon. This is the main reason I replace the original blade. I replaced the bearing myself (it has standard bearing, those which used with roller skates just fit. ,but it’s a pain to replace it, so I just wanted to give a chance this one). No matter how tight you put it in the Pitcher, it leaks when used with the liquid substance. Because it shorter in size, it is not deep enough into the base hole, which is not safe to use, considering how powerful Vitamix motors are. The Pitcher can just slide from the base. This knockoff blade just erased the top edges of my original base hole, now I have to hold and secure my Pitcher on the base in order to avoid slide when it works. Stay away from this Chinese knockoff and buy either original blade or original Pitcher.

Wasted $30 – part doesn’t fit machine it says it does.
This part does not fit the Vitamix 5000 machine it claims to be compatible with. The part is not even the correct size. Don’t waste your money.

Almost the part we needed.
15 year old model 2000. Blade fit great. Gear assembly for motor mount had a different size and orientation to connect to the motor shaft. Fortunately, ours wasn’t damage and I could continue to use the old one. Blade works exceptionally well.

I didn’t know if I had to replace both but it turns out it was just that the blade was seized. Replaced the blade and the new one works great, just like when the blender was new!Tip: You may not need a special wrench to open the nut that holds the blade. I was able to open it with just my fingers. (It was pretty hard, but it eventually worked loose.) So to tighten it I just used my fingers so I’ll be able to open it next time in like 10 years. No leaks.

lasted only about a year
Both parts lasted only about a year. The black seal on the bottom of the blade has cracked and worn out and now it leaks when I use it. I do not put any of my blender parts in the dishwasher, so it was not due to high heat. The other part also wore out fast. Disappointed that I have to buy more replacement parts in such a short time.
