    Perfect no fuss monitor
Basic monitor that does what you need! Picks up even the quietest sounds super well, good enough range that it works outside on my acreage, battery lasts a long time in the parent unit. Definitely a good buy especially for the low price! No need for those fancy monitors

    Love these!
We got these for the long range. Our other monitor couldn’t even reach from the nursery to the end of our kitchen (our house is not that big). This monitor reaches so far, easily covers are whole yard (which is big- country property).PLUS, these are great when you have a family gathering or a party and it’s loud. You don’t nevessarily want the volume all the way up, or to be holding it to your ear the whole time. You can have it on mute, but there’s a green/red bar that will show you the volume in the room. If baby is crying and it gets loud, the bar turns red. It’s amazing!

    Basic!
Love how basic and simple this is to just monitor my baby if I walk away from her, can hear if she cries clearly.

    Great product, works well (ish)
This does exactly what I need it to do. I use it for my 6-year-old autistic child who calls frequently in the night, with little patience. When he calls, I can hit the ‘Talk’ button and deal with the situation. The only problem is the ‘Talk” and ‘Power’ buttons are right next to each other, sit flush with the unit and it all feels the same, so trying to find said ‘Talk’ button after just being woken up and while it’s still dark is one of the biggest frustrations I have from this unit. So many times I’ve turned the darn thing off my mistake then had to leap out of bed and rush to my kid’s room in a clumsy, sleepy state. I have now taped something to the ‘Talk’ button which leads to a lot less fumbling and stress.Great product other than this! I love the night light feature too!

    Huge Improvement
I suffered for years with the old DM223 model, which would beep all the time whenever it lost connection, which it would do randomly and for no reason, sometimes beeping in the middle of the night for minutes at a time. I could never figure out if it was caused by interference, or if it was just defective, because the baby unit was not very far away… maybe 40 feet at most, although admittedly through plaster walls. Finally decided to replace it and since it seems VTech is the only brand left selling audio-only baby monitors, I had to buy this one. I wish I did it sooner! This new model is amazing. No more beeping, so it either have better range or they are much more resistant to interference. Otherwise the features are almost identical to the old model, same battery, same menu options, but it just has a better range and a solid connection. My only gripe now is that indicator light is much brighter than the old model, and it flashes when it picks up the slightest sound regardless of what the “vox sensitivity” is set to. This means if you have the baby unit near a fan or something, it will constantly be flickering all night even if it’s not enough to trigger the speaker. I wish there was an option to set the sensitivity of the light, but it is useful to have the visual indicator.

    Works well
I used it for my husband who had cancer so I could hear when he called even if I was outside doing yardwork
