Terrible connection
This monitor will loose connection at 3am, 6am. Will be fine then randomly loose connection in the night. Terrible and unreliable. Our house isn’t large. We cannot be in the basement and use the monitor. It’s too far. It also takes a long time to turn on and find a connection. I do not recommend it. Worked well for about 6 months and is completely useless now.

Great monitor and cameras – a little faulty over time
Purchased this monitor September 2023 and I personally love that it comes with two cameras and a large monitor screen. It occasionally disconnects randomly when the monitor is literally just on the other side of the wall from the camera so that’s frustrating but it doesn’t last for more than 30 seconds. Within the last month though, the monitor doesn’t hold its charge. It can charge for hours and when I disconnect it, it instantly drops about two battery bars. This has been annoying to now have to ensure it’s plugged in essentially at all times. Also reached out to customer service just now to see if there is any way to fix or replace the monitor. I wouldn’t want to have to repurchase this item when I only require the monitor.

Do not buy
If i could give it 0 stars, I would.My daughter asked for this Vtech model because of the larger screen and 2 camera option. My grandson was born end of November 2023 and 13 months later the battery doesn’t hold a charge and the connection drops often. VTech only offers a 12 month warranty. I am waiting to hear back and for the price I paid, I hope they provide a replacement. But highly disappointed given the price point and such an important item.

Disappointing product quality
Did all of my research, read reviews, etc. and this was the clear winner, by all accounts from online.I got everything set up. The picture quality is fantastic…. if it is EVER working.There’s constant connection issues, the range on the unit is awful, the parent unit feels like it’s powered by a 13 year old computer with constant lag and a garbage interface. For the high price, I expected MUCH much more.Big disappointment.

speaker very quiet
Have used a previous version of this model with one camera, needed two so i got this one.the sound is extremely low. you have to put your ear to the reciever to hear anything on max volume.the previous version of this model it was loud as expected.

The image is grainy and lags when viewing on the app on your phone but it works great on the monitor screen. The image and sound still work good enough on the phone to tell what’s going on in the room.

Don’t Buy
Don’t buy vtech monitors. the connectivity is garbage, we have 2 access points in our house and our monitor and cameras can’t seem to stay connected. the video quality is awful the kids are sometimes barely visible it’s so blurry and distorted. i have the sensitivity turned all the way up and it still wont go off when my baby is crying. my baby was crying super upset and she woke up me up because i heard her from her room but the monitor didn’t go off at all. do not buy, buy literally any other baby monitor. not worth the money, not worth the headache.

Disconnects
This thing worked well the first year, although one of the cameras never worked properly. After about a year, the damn monitor keeps disconnecting from the camera randomly. I did all the updates, I have high speed internet and never have any problems with connecting my other devices EXCEPT from this one. It’s sooooooo annoying to be woken up at night because the monitor is flashing for connection. I have to fully wake up, turn it off, turn it back on and hope it will connect again. It often doesn’t. Also, the camera light turns on sometimes randomly when I turn on the baby monitor (I checked all the settings, no idea why it does that). I feel like I’ve wasted a good amount of money of something that DOESN’T work.
