This is exactly what the ad says it is. You can argue about whether the price is reasonable but the value is that if you use it as intended, that is, through the hole in the lid, you never have to worry that it’s going to get destroyed. Pushing your mix around becomes worry free. Worth it in the long run.

I use my Vitamix every day and eventually destroyed the tamper. So happy I was able to find the part, it feels like I got new blender again!
