Cheaper than a replacement with lid and rubber handle
After about 8 years of service in our kitchen our original Vitamix container’s barring’s gave out, at first we thought it was the blender motor. After looking into a replacement for our original style ( tall style) container I was shocked at the outrageous price for the equivalent replacement with the rubber handle, however we came across this one which is basically the restaurant supply erosion of the original container at 1/2 the price, but only the container is included, so you have to make due with the original lid and tamper. Works like a charm only noticeable difference is the handle has no rubber coating. Hopefully this one will serve us. For another 8 years, our Vitamix is one of the most used appliances in our kitchen next to the fridge and dishwasher. The other option was to order a new blade assembly and tool from Vitamix for the same cost.

Amazing grace!
I got a used one from vitamix here, and it seemed brand new , I bet someone just returned before using it. Saved $30. These newer versions of containers are thicker more durable plastic !

Vitamix is amazing- I’ve had one for eons.
Only four stars because it is expensive but the blender jar fits perfectly and works well. Vitamix is an awesome investment. It takes care of things other blenders can’t.

Great container & Blade
I think the material of this container might even be better than the original that I purchased about 10+ years ago. The new container with new blade assembly (and updated ball bearings) turned my tired old blender into a “like new” machine. Very satisfied. Worth the money.

Typical overpriced Vita mix components
Vita mix really has nerve charging so much for even the simplest replacement parts. This blender top for example, could not cost more than one or two dollars to manufacture. Yet they had the nerve to charge $120. There really is a bad taste in the buyers mind, when they know they are being exploited. Also, the new construction is less durable than prior Vita mix blender tops I have owned. It is much more plastic oriented in the area of the base. Looks more fragile. For the high price tag, the user deserves to present metal, none of this plastic crap.

Good jug for blending and fits well on Vitamix
I had to buy this container because I broke the base of the original one. It does what the original container was able to and the blades seem reasonably good. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the grip of the jug handle is not as thick and comfortable as the original one. The original container came with a black thick handle, this one has the same thin material as the rest of the container. Overall it’s a good bang for the buck.
