    Coffee Connoisseur’s Dream!
I snagged this dry grains container for my Vitamix from Amazon Warehouse Deals, and it’s been a fantastic addition! I primarily use it for grinding coffee beans, and it produces a consistently even grind. The quality is top-notch, as expected from Vitamix. It’s also great for grinding spices and making my own flours from grains. If you’re looking to expand your Vitamix’s capabilities, I highly recommend this container!

    Update on disappointed review
UpdateWhen I use the tampa and stir upwards, it blends eveningly and I’m in love with my dry cup. I would definitely recommend vitamix. You should have a smooth blend even before the one minute mark. Yes it gets hot usually by the 2 or third blend and needs to cool down unless you are making soup etc then it’s okay cause your soup will get cooked.Disappointed!!!This dry blade container doesn’t blend evenly. I followed the intructions in the manual and still didn’t get an even blend. I even tried blending one cup at a time instead of two cups and I still got half smooth and half grains. The result was the same for oatmeal, rice, wheat and dry corn. And you can only blend for one minute because any time beyond this and the blender gets hot and heats up whatever is in the container. You would have to wait for it to cool down and then blend again. Even that, I still do not get a fine flour. I had so much higher expectation for this brand but right now very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this dry container . The wet container I have no issues with. But not worth your money on this dry container. It’s a waste of money. Now I have to invest in another appliance that can blend into fine flour.

You flour will come out very fine
Due to the wider mouth than the last gen. The flour is finer than the last gen dry container.

Though it was “used” it looks like it was never used and was still in the original box with all the original paperwork. Though I wish this dry grains container for the vitamix was cheaper, I’m very happy with it. I’ve already used it and it worked great for making fine flour.

Schade

PRODUCT NO GOOD. READ ON. A tactical 5 star rating so hopefully people will begin to read the 1 stars. Product doesn’t work with the A3500i. Waited some time for it’s arrival. Unpacked and loaded with grain, went to engage and have no entry sign to say no container present. I put the original wet container on and it recognises it from a few cms away. Wish I’d read the bad reviews before buying!!

I put the container onto the assent series Vitamix and the Vitamix 3500 does not recognise it.

Before purchasing this Vitamix dry grains container I read several reviews. Not just to determine if it lived up to its claims, but whether it was worth the investment. Because, let’s be real, anything with the name “Vitamix” on it is going to be expensive. Plus, I already have two containers: the default 64 oz that came with my Ascent 3500 and the 48 oz stainless steel container that I purchased separately. So I had to decide if it was REALLY necessary and worth the money to buy another container. Especially after I read a review that claimed this dry container was exactly the same as the wet container. Spoiler alert: it’s NOT the same. The difference between this container and the wet containers that are included with your machine are the blades. Visually, you can see they are somewhat different. The wet containers have blades that work to pull ingredients down like a vacuum to pulverize them. But the dry container blades push ingredients UP into the container. This is to minimize the risk of ingredients getting trapped under the blades and ensures a consistent grind. Put it this way: yes, you can technically use your wet container to achieve a similar result, just like you can use the dry container to blend smoothies, but the end result will likely not be as good as it would be if produced in the container for which it was intended. So here is what I would say: if you want the ability to grind dry ingredients but only occasionally, then I don’t think it’s worth getting a separate container. But if you like to grind your own coffee beans, create flour, chop nuts and/or make nut butters on a REGULAR basis then I absolutely do think it’s worth the investment. If anything just to have a dedicated container for wet or dry and distribute the workload between two blade types. Is it necessary to get this container? No. You definitely don’t NEED it. You can do these things in the wet container if need be. I just think the end result is better in this container for dry ingredients. It depends on how much of a perfectionist you are, how much storage you have for another container, and whether you plan to use it often enough to justify the price. Personally, I think it’s worth it. But you may decide it’s not. Hopefully this information helps you determine whether you should get it or forget it.
