Vitamix in their infinite wisdom have decided to install NFC chips in jugs to prevent jugs being used across countries or across their own blender models!While the jug physically fits and should work with an ascent blender, this is not the case.For those wanting to get past this lunacy, there are reddit posts on how to read and write nfc codes so you can place an NFC card in the base of your blender .

Product was purchased as a replacement for previous 64oz jug which was cracked. Ascent 3500i does not detect this jug although description mentions it does. (item shipped is model VM0184. Not sure if this was the correct model ( please not that old jug and 20z containers are still detected so this is a problem with the jug)
