Sounds amazing! Small but mighty!
First off, this is my first singing bowl. I must say, I can’t keep my hands off of it. It’s amazing the sound that comes from a 3.5″ brass bowl.The bowl itself is nice, I really like the simple hammered craftsmanship, looks good. The color is a bit different then the picture, the inside a dull silver and the outside is kind of a dark brass.The mallet is made of nice wood with a bit of leather on the one end. This being my first bowl, I wasn’t sure if the leather was necessary, since I had seen other bowls without it. At first, I couldn’t get the bowl to sing with the leather side of the mallet, only the wood side. I found it easy with the wood side, but it would vibrate against the brass and ruin the sound as it got louder. I eventually figured out how to use the leather side, which dampens the vibrations at full volume. The key for me was to find a secure base. The little pillow it comes with, I didn’t find useful. There is too much stuffing and the bowl moves around when trying to get it to sing. Fortunately, I have a larger pillow sitting around that I put to use. I also put a small piece of double sided tape to hold the bowl from spinning. With the bowl secured to the base, it’s easy to get the bowl singing with the leather side.Once singing, the bowl gives off this cool Sci-fi vibrating frequency. I wasn’t sure what tone or frequency this bowl was going to play, since it wasn’t listed. I measured the frequency and found it sings at 624Hz or D#5.Only complaint would be the pillow. Perhaps a donut shaped pillow would be better.Bowl sounds awesome and looks good! Would definitely recommend this bowl. Overall, great purchase! I love it!

If you are looking at the picture please note that I did not clean the bowl and did not shine it. I did not do anything to it. It’s only the camera lights and the natural light of the day, no direct sun, but this bowl likes to reflect lots of light back. I was surprised when I saw the picture.This is not only a beautiful bowl with a nice design. This bowl keeps on singing and singing and singing, even when it’s cold. We are supposed to go with the wand around the rim to warm it up, but this bowl does not seem to need this kind of ticklishing around.Amazon first notified me that the bowl will be sent on Friday, which I thought was super fast, then they said it will be sent on Monday. So I thought was still good and did not check at the door on Friday. But later on Friday night just by chance, I saw the box outside. It was sitting there in the cold for at least 6 hours. I opened the package immediately and gave the bowl a GENTLE knock with one fingernail. The bowl started singing and singing and singing right out from the cold, did not need anything else done to him. I was so impressed. Very good resonance for such a small bowl. We have become friends instantly.I discovered that I don’t need to go around it with the wand. I just strike it a little, not too strong and it keeps singing and singing and singing. I am very happy with it.I also noticed it gets me to relax very fast. After the second strike I start yoningDo not forget to put it on the pillow. Once, I forgot about it and did not know what happened. The sound was short and off.BOWL CANNOT SING IF RESTING ON THE HAND WITHOUT THE PILLOW. The hand creates interference with the sound vibrations.This is my second bowl. I have a 5″ bowl from another brand, but that one does not sing that easily. I needed a smaller one to fit everywhere and to be easier to handle. This is the ideal size. I can keep it on my desk to use it everyday.Once again, I am very happy with the purchase. I almost bought another one. This is beautiful and it sings easily without effort from my side.

Decent basic bowl
I’m using this for meditation and mindfulness. This is my first bowl. It sings well. It’s a smaller bowl and produces a G# frequency. The bowl feels sturdy. I’m not a big fan of the paint job as it was sloppily done with the design smudging at one point. The cushion is fine. The mallet is fine. I like, that, for a bowl this size it has both a male and female end. The male end has felt to cover it. This bowl is a nice introduction to singing bowls at a very affordable price. I want to get some larger diameter bowls of God quality in the future.
