Six Steps to Delicious Chicken Teriyaki
Step 1
Add the oils and butter to the pot and hit Sauté and Adjust so it’s on the More or High setting. Once the butter’s melted, add the chicken and sauté for 2 minutes, until pinkish-white in color (it should not be fully cooked in this stage). Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 minute longer.
Step 2
Add the broth, vinegar, soy sauce, and brown sugar and stir well. Secure the lid and move the valve to the sealing position. Hit Cancel and then hit Pressure Cook or Manual on High Pressure for 4 minutes. Quick release when done.
Step 3
Meanwhile, combine the cornstarch and cold water in a small bowl until a smooth slurry is formed.
Step 4
Once the lid comes off, stir the honey and hoisin sauce into the pot until well combined.
Step 5
Hit Cancel and then hit Sauté and Adjust so it’s on the More or High setting. Once the sauce begins to bubble, stir in the cornstarch slurry and allow it to bubble for 30 seconds while stirring; the sauce will have thickened up perfectly. Turn the pot off and stir in the Gravy Master or Kitchen Bouquet (if using) along with the scallions.
Step 6
Place in a serving bowl, top with sesame seeds, if desired, and additional scallions, and serve.
Jeff’s Tip I personally think chicken thighs are the best cut of chicken for this dish since they’re so juicy and tender. That said, if you prefer white meat and wish to use chicken breasts instead, the dish will be just as good!

This is my second cookbook I’ve bought of his. All amazing. I’ve made 3 from this cookbook so far. Most pretty simple ingredients. I’ve had zero fails on about 20 recipes I’ve tried. Only one wasn’t awesome. More a preference thing.Can’t go wrong. Step by step with lots of photos. I’ve only bought 2 cookbooks in the last 2 decades and they are Jeffrey Eisners.It’s gotten me out of my comfort zone trying new things.

Best Instant Pot Cookbook on the Market
If you have a Instant Pot you definitely should buy this cookbook. It has very user friendly recipes in it and there is almost 0 percent you mess up. Jeffery has a picture of each dish in this cookbook. Everything you will make turns out delicious. He also has 2 other cookbooks that are just as great. If your looking for a Instant Pot recipe book this is the one to get you won’t be disappointed.

Yes, this is a great cookbook for new, or even experienced cooks.The directions couldn’t be easier to follow, and many of the recipes use staple, or easily purchased items.One feature impressed me, above the others. The fact it gives so much information, in such a simple, easy-to-use way.The photography is really quite extraordinary. Each photo makes you want to at least try the recipes. So many cookbooks have mediocre instructions, and no photos.Lastly, the price, on sale + a coupon, was a no brainer.

I love his cookbooks and now have four of them. I was a little concerned that a book about comfort foods might be a little bit boring. I was happily surprised by the variety of foods which include foods from many different cultures. I’ve made a number of the recipes And as usual, they are delicious. The great thing about his books are that they give very detailed instructions and provide photos of the process. I highly recommend all of his books.
