This book changed my life forever!
So I smoked for over 25 years started when I was 16. Tried several times to quit probably well over 20. Could never stick with it. Took me about 2 years to actually read this book. I would start and stop start and stop start and stop. I finally made a decision to stick with it and started reading one chapter a night until it was done. I smoked right up to the last day and after that I haven’t touched a cigarrette in over 3 years. I thought it would be tough to be around drinkers or go to parties and hang out with other smokers and It actually doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t even miss it and when I smell it it doesn’t even make me wish I had 1. Even when I’m drinking I don’t have the urge for a Smoke. It changes the way you think about smoking, the way you look at smoking and how you truly feel about smoking. If you’re struggling to quit smoking and you’ve tried to quit or want to quit I would highly recommend this book. For me I was worried about reading it and having it not work like I would be wasting my time on something else that didn’t help me stay off the addiction. Once I got over that fear and realized whether it worked or a didn’t I needed to put the effort in to at least try. I don’t stink anymore, feel guilty or spend mega bucks daily! Good luck

This is the one
If you want to quit smoking, this “permanently” (longer version) of Allen Carr’s book is the one. Bought a couple to give away as this is the one I read 16 years ago that allowed me to quit without looking back (well, I looked back, felt sick AF and then never looked back again!). Heavy smoker for 27 years and felt free as a bird at the end of the book.

Long read
It is a long tedious read, I keep wondering how Mr. Carr came to his epiphany so quickly but took 500 pages to explain it. It sorta of rehashes things over and over, and he even admits along the way that the reader must be getting annoyed (true). Being a long time smoker I was willing to try anything. So if you think reading this will give you some help or willpower you need to quit by all means readi it. In the end a small daily dose of champix is what helped me quit 3 months and counting

I used this book to stop smoking. It worked …
I used this book to stop smoking. It worked SO WELL that I didn’t even have to finish reading it. Seriously. I was about 2/3rds through, put it down, and have not had a single smoke since!

Tiny font
I would have loved to read this book, but the font is much too small. Missed opportunity for sure! I have another version which I will probably have to reread.

The most important lesson I’ve learned from this book is the difference between:- The Willpower Method- EasywayWhich sounds like utter nonsense, but is simply a matter of perspective. Can you quit smoking, utilizing willpower, if you actually don’t want to quit? -or if you actually believe you are “giving up” something of interminable value? This is the best quit smoking book (Joel Spitzer’s NTAP is also very helpful), as it slowly peels away the brainwashing. While smoking up to the point in the book where he tells you to have your last cigarette, I noticed it becoming increasingly difficult to deal with the cognitive dissonance one must summon as a smoker, which is a peculiar form of misery the drug-addicted experience daily. He covers it all – you won’t have a place to hide and you’ll be grateful if you’re as sick of being a slave as I was.Important note: the “Permanently” part of the title means – don’t ever smoke or use nicotine again! The cigar at the wedding, chew at the rodeo, vape at the goth gathering, snuff at the Victorian Ball, nicotine gum at the Mensa convention (whatever damn excuse your mind will try) – it’s all a LIE and you WILL BE ENSLAVED AGAIN.

The book breaks all the myths and wrong thinking patterns an addict has formed over years of smoking. Makes your journey to quit, easier.

Es excelente. He leido en dos reseñas que la letra de la edición en papel, es muy pequeña; yo lo he leído en e-book (kindle-Amazon) y no he tenido este problema.

I’ve already used EASYWAY years ago, but I started again after 4 months because I’m an idiot 🙂 . Then, 10 years later, I found this version of the EASYWAY method, that is more detailed (is like 3-4 times the original book) and It considers tons of other facts which have helped me to quit again, this time forever. I recommend this book to those who, sadly, have started again after the original EASYWAY. Because this one gonna set you free again. But be careful this time, and do not fall again! 🙂
