I was never really a morning person and didn’t really have any desire to be but in the last few years I’ve felt like I’ve been in a rut and just barely getting things done. I stumbled across the podcast at first and after listening to a few episodes decided that I needed to get this book when it first came out. I read all of it over the course of a few days and am getting ready to read it again and take the time to complete all the action steps at the start of 2016. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for a little extra motivation to learn how to dominate their day before breakfast!!Also, don’t think that because the book is titled The 5am Miracle that you need to wake up at 5am, you’re 5am can be 6am or 7am and you can follow the principles to dominate your day before breakfast no matter what time you wake up.

The 5 AM Miracle contains incredible content and insight turn around your life. I started reading the book, as I wanted to gain a little extra time in my day and complete some tasks that were always lingering. The book not only offered a great structure to tame the monkey mind and start your day out efficiently but also where to reduce distractions in life allowing for greater focus throughout the day. I would compare it to Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up”, but in this case, you are cleaning up / optimizing your life. I returned from holiday inspired with new ideas and projects. Normally, these thoughts would have languished with little output. Instead, I’ve completed three projects to date, and make progress every day, starting at 5 am. My best advice would be to read it cover to cover once. Then read through it a second time reviewing your notes and maximizing you gleaning of the details that matter most to you. The 30-day plan is solid. It will get you on track but should be approached as a serious endeavor which might require a total of 3 months to accomplish the details outlined and get maximum value. Simply, I thank the author, as this is the book that I would have written, and nothing has been left out
