    I only use cast iron pots for cheese fondue, the one I had was 50 years old and I only got rid of it because it was chipped around the rim. It was also a Swissmar brand and that’s why I bought this brand again and the price was right too.

    The pot is a keeper. Generous 4-cup capacity. Stove-to-warmer is smart, functional. Enamel-coated cast iron is sturdy yet sleek – feels professional. Will use for cheese fondue and many other keep-warm dishes. BUT I’ll have to use my own warming method because THE POT IS ALL YOU GET. I carefully read the item description and it says: set includes fondue pot, a black wrought iron warming stand, six cheese fondue forks and a dual function burner.” Nope. Just the pot. But still obviously a quality item, not just another ceramic bowl.

    Finally got around to testing it with some actual cheese fondue, it works great for heat distribution! It was a bit tricky to scrape the cheese at the bottom, but it came out great without any burning compared to the ceramic dish which I used previously. Love the classic red color of it as well. Just be careful when handling it as it is quite heavy (as expected of the material) and the handle is cast iron too. Great size for holding a big volume of cheese without having to worry about spillage / overflow.

    I LOVE this pot. The enameled cast iron is beautiful and durable. Heats very well and retains heat well. I purchased this to replace a cracked ceramic pot – the cast iron is vastly superior in my opinion for durability and heat retention! Care must be taken to thoroughly dry. As well ensure that you are not using any sharp metal forks or utensils

    This is an almost indestructible fondue pot. My previous cheese fondue pot was ceramic and got broken when moving. This one will last forever and works great! It looks beautiful.
