Nice quality pan
Love this pan. I never had a cast iron pan like this. I like the quality and price range and it looks great too. Also the smaller size is fine for me with the high sides because it’s not too heavy. I highly recommend it.

warped bottom
It’s a beautiful pan and it cooks very well, once you know how to keep it non-stick during cooking. Otherwise, it’s a nightmare and it will take a long time for it to develop a patina due to frying in it daily. I had to find a solution to its enamel sticking to everything, or everything sticking to its enamel, on YouTube on some obscure little known channel (SANDSTONE channel, “Cast Iron Skillet – How to make non stick” video from 13 years ago). And this pan is very easy to keep in like new condition with a soft sponge and a dab of some gentle scrubbing paste, such as Scrub Daddy PowerPaste, Universal Stone or PInk Solution scrub). I took one star off its rating because this pan wobbles in one direction and does not in a perpendicular to that direction, along the line that runs through both of the handles. For some reason, this uneven bottom does not affect its performance at all: it still heats up and maintains heat exceptionally well all over its cooking surface. I tested it with a thermometer with a surface probe and I see it on the food. It browns evenly throughout no matter where it sits in the pan. I probably noticed its wobbling only because I have a ceramic cooktop and another newly purchased cast iron pan (made in PRC) was wobbling, so I checked this one as well.

I am pleased with this little pan, no sticking, people complained that the pan sticks. You have to properly pre heath the pan before adding food to it. All frying pans are like that. Pre heating to prober temp is the key!

Staub has never disappointed me. Pans are amazing and food doesn’t stick. I did order handle covers that are like pot holders because the handles heat up. Works like a charm.
