    Great book
I’m a graduate student working on a number of papers simultaneously. I have always struggled with procrastination, so when I heard about Timothy Pychyl’s book, I had to check it out. I read some reviews, and took a look at the preview online. After receiving the book, I finished it in a couple of days. Changing your personality isn’t something that happens overnight, but the book has definitely helped me understand how procrastination affects me and what I can do to change. Great tips and practical advice for positive change.

  2. Leon Levin

    Four Stars
i’ll have to get around to writing a revue when i can.

  3. Gord P

An education in and of itself!
Dr. Pychyl’s book is only a part of the information you get about the procrastination issue. He leads you to his research, blogs, and website and opens up the whole question of why and how we are procrastinating…or NOT. It is easy to find the time to read this short and concise offering. (Which is a brilliant part of the plan!)

    Great explanation why we procrastinate
Excellent explanation of why people procrastinate, not much in the way of intervention or support, but the understanding is very helpful in my work counselling University students.

I had this book in my collection for several months …
I had this book in my collection for several months now and took the decision today to finish it. This book made me self-aware of many behaviours I have that cause to sabotage myself and my future success. Definitely worth reading.

    This Book Was Okay…
I read this book but some of the information is a little generic. Maybe my opinion, is slightly biased because, I had taken a few Humanistic Psychology classes and my class went deep into procrastination and goal setting. A lot of what was mentioned in this book was in my courses material. However, I wish the book would had mentioned how to deal with internal resistance a bit more because I do not struggle with procrastination much anymore but more with internal resistance. That being said, I do think, this is a good book for someone that really struggles with procrastination but when it comes to dealing with internal resistance, I would say, the book does not provide a lot of information a lot and can be a bit vague.

    Worth eventually reading
Very good book, especially when I got around to reading it after many, many months.

  8. Heather MacDonald

    Super little book
Super little book! Just the right length: I won’t be procrastinating by taking ages to read a tome instead of getting on with my projects. 🙂

  9. Rafael Bianco

  10. Vivek R.

Everything that was written 100% spot on and go thru everyday, I tried the strategies and indeed it works. Must read for this generation where all that can lead to procrastination is at your finger tips.

I really enjoyed the short, practical nature of this book and it has already helped me to procrastinate less. It’s a fascinating topic, and I’d love to learn more, but I fear that may be a procrastination tactic, so I’ll just start my work instead! 🙂
