Potential to be a little large
So I was really hesitant about ordering these because of the comments about how big they are. My kiddo is 20 months, almost 33” tall and approximately 29-30lbs. My kid is still in diapers and likely will be for a while. I ordered a size 3T. 3T is a little big on my kid right now, but it’s not excessively big and seems to fit much like other 3T shorts I’ve ordered. It will probably fit really well once summer rolls around (it’s March right now). I’m not worried about them falling off as long as my child is still in diapers since diapers take up a lot of extra room in the shorts. If she wasn’t wearing diapers than I can see how these shorts would seem overly large and I’d probably size down to a 2T. Other than that, I found the style very cute and I really like the ruffle at the bottom. They washed well and shrunk a bit in the dryer.

Others are right, these fit bigger than other Carters clothes. My kid is very consistently in 4T clothing, but these shorts are quite a bit too big in the waist.
