I found the gel to be very sticky and my hair looked funny after use. It smells good and the price was right, but it didn’t work on my curly hair.

Great for Curls
This product is great to define curly hair, even up to 4C hair. However, although it is very enriching, it is not a leave in conditioner that you would feel comfortable sleeping with, without a bonnet or hair cap as it is a very rich formula.

disappointing
I have used and liked the Shea Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner and the curl mousse. I was looking for something with a little more hold so tried the gel. The texture is a little strange, but I could ignore that if it was more useful. Sadly, it left my hair feeling dry and kind of like Barbie hair. I tried adjusting the amount several times, but just couldn’t make it work. I will continue to use their other products, but this one is a no-go for me.

I’ve only recently started my wavy hair journey but this product has been the best I’ve tried. My hair is loose waves and all the other products I’ve tried have weighted down my waves and made my hair greasy.The product is goopey and sticky but I expected that when researching the product.If you have waves and other products are leaving your hair like mine was give this a try.
