1-4months. The battery life depends on the times of the camera wakes up. If you use solar panel to charge battery camera, then it will save you hassle of taking it down and plug it into recharge.

This is a good little camera for the price point. Setup is quick and easy. The solar charger is great if you don’t have easy access to an outlet. And the resolution is pretty good. The app is fairly easy to use. My only complaint is the subscription service prices. But so far, we’ve been okay with the free 10-sec clips, so we’ll see if we decide we need to upgrade to a paid version.

I have a couple different brands of cameras that are similar. I ordered this one to replace one that was damaged by a falling branch. I installed this one in the same place as the old one and noticed quite a few differences. The first was the software didn’t offer the same features and didn’t offer any free cloud storage as the camera I was replacing did. One of my favorite features of the other software was the ability to erase certain areas within the camera’s field of vision so it wouldn’t set off the motion detection. The Septekon software didn’t have that feature. The other camera’s software also offered up to 3 days of cloud storage for free before it would overwrite the oldest data. The Septekon software has no free cloud storage and the cheapest option is almost $6.00 per month. I have this camera pointed at my parking area that is about 20-30 feet away from where the camera is mounted and the street is probably 20 feet behind it. I was worried that every car that would drive by would set it off but that wasn’t the case. In fact unless I set it to it’s most sensitive settings it never went off at all even when I walked almost up to it. Now it does give me notifications when someone walks in front of it up to about 25 feet away so it doesn’t sense when I get in my car only when I walk in front of it. It also seems sporadic as I’ve walked right into the shed it’s mounted on and it doesn’t react every time. It does give me notifications when a red vehicle passes on the road behind it but only red ones. It would be good for mounting on a porch or over a door. But it doesn’t have the sensitivity of my other cameras. I think I’ll swap it out with the camera on my back porch. The video quality is quite good both in daylight or at night. The solar panel works well so it is nice that you don’t need a power source.

Ordered for use while RV camping. The solar power panel is great! It was simple enough to set up. Picture quality is mediocre, but it works well enough for the intended purpose. Decent value for the price.
