I’ve only tried one other pair of blue-light blocking glasses and those were disappointing to say the least. Seems a lot of glasses out there are cheap gimmicks. So this review is a comparison to both the old pair and my expectations.FIT (5/5). These fit perfectly on my face! Not too high or too low, not too close or too far. The lenses sit centered on my eyes, and cover my field of vision nicely. The glasses sit securely and don’t slide down.COMFORT (5/5). These are so incredibly light (even lighter than the other pair) that I sometimes forget I’m wearing them. The earsocks/arms sit lightly behind my ears and against the side of my head – no unnecessary pressure. The nose pads also rest lightly on my nose without pinching.STYLE (5/5). I love this! I’d been looking for a while for blue-light glasses that had an attractive rectangular style, and these look so nice – it’s exactly what I was looking for! The thin, silver frame gives it a very classy, flattering look.EFFECTIVENESS (4.5/5). There is a definite, noticeable improvement in effectiveness with these over the previous pair I tried. You can’t see any tinting on the lenses, but when you put them on, there is a slight, but noticeable amber hue to screens. Putting them on, I could actually feel my eyes relaxing from the light strain I didn’t realize I was having. So they definitely work! A couple caveats: 1. They seem to work best in the evening and at night – I don’t notice much relief when working during the day. 2. They seem to work (for me) for about 4-6 hours before I feel myself starting to strain my eyes again. I don’t get the headaches I did from the other pair, but do find myself starting to squint. So I use that as my sign to wrap up whatever I’m working on.OTHER (4.5/5). I appreciated that it came with a matching case and cleaning cloth. My only complaint (and it’s really more of a personal preference), is that I don’t care for the felt/suede exterior. I would’ve preferred pleather or plastic. This gets stained too easily and doesn’t play nice with water. Otherwise, it’s sturdy and an appreciated addition. Also, these don’t have magnification – which works for me. My contacts have a specific prescription, so I don’t want to mess with that.Bottom line: Unless you want to shell out a chunk of change for high-quality, highly-effective glasses, these are a very nice, attractive pair that works well, especially if you’re testing out blue-light blocking glasses. Do yourself a favor and try these instead of a cheap pair that will leave you disappointed.

This pair of SANHOOPOLO Computer Blue Light Blocking Glasses were shipped in a very sturdy eyeglass metal hinged case with a cleaning cloth. I did notice that with the item description for these glasses on Amazon there was no mention of any recommendations as to what the benefits might be upon wearing these glasses for extended periods of time while in front of your computer screen. Some sellers mention that their glasses block a certain percentage of blue light rays but these had no mention of the amount of blockage obtained with these glasses nor as I’ve mentioned there intended benefits. Although the American Academy of Ophthalmology website states that based on a lack of scientific evidence they don’t recommend any special eye wear for computer use but they also didn’t state that there were any known damaging side effects while using this type of blue light blocking pair of eyeglasses so I’ve decided to try them out for myself to determine if I can discern any benefits from using a pair of them while using my PC, tablet or smart phone. With that thought here is what I liked about these glasses, to me the frames were sturdy and well made and appeared just as good as any pair of frames that I had gotten from my eye doctor to help correct my vision problems when I was younger plus as I had previously mentioned they came packaged in a very nice eyeglass case. I also found my selection of their gold frames to be stylish and with the metal half frame and their rectangular lens they work well with my facial features. While I was taking a photograph to illustrate the blue light glasses that I had received I noticed a slight yellow tint in the lenses that you can see from my posted picture but once I placed them over my eyes the yellow tint was not discernible. I did notice that the brightness of the screen appeared to have lessened after putting them on. With years of working in front of a computer screen in an engineering environment I’ve always felt that the use of a monitor’s screen for extended periods of the day did lead to eye strain, random headaches and mental fatigue so with these glasses I’m hoping to realize an improvement with some of those symptoms. At this time I see no reason not to recommend these blue blocking glasses if you’re as curious as I am about their possible benefits, for me I consider them well made and they are at a price point that I consider reasonable for their overall quality and intended use so my overall rating for them at this time is 5 Stars.

Pros: Stylish design Light weight Reduces eye strain Wearable for hours Includes carrying caseCons: Build quality may feel less than premiumThese blue light blocking glasses reduce eye staring when looking at a computer for hours on end. I have been using these glasses for a little over a month, almost daily, when working on computers. During this time, I have found that my eyes feel less stressed at the end of the day. These glasses are lightweight, I often find myself forgetting that I am wearing them. I have never felt any pain from my ears after hours of use and sometimes wearing headphones. Some users may feel that these glasses are less than premium in build quality because of how they feel in weight and opening operations of these glasses. Overall, I find that these glasses work well in reducing eye staring from long computer usage and are comfortable to wear.

I sit at a computer a ton for work and wanted something to ease the eye pain. I got these glasses and they have helped tremendously. They work well, are made well, have a simple design, and the quality is great!

These are VERY well made, extremely comfortable even for a large-headed person like myself, and comfy for extended wear as well.
