Good quality. Did not have to discard our blender which was leaking it’s as good as new now

Okay, the concept is awesome – a low-profile 64-oz container for my Vitamix, that’ll fit under my cupboards and save on space? Heck yes! However, the execution of that idea was . . . not great.First off, does it blend? Yep, sure does, and it does a pretty good job – definitely not worse than the original pitcher, which is pitted and scarred inside from over 2 decades of use, and whose blade was definitely very dull. It cleans up way easier, too. However, there are some serious design flaws. The rubber lid fits, but only kind of; it’s almost too small to sit squarely on the lip of the pitcher, so only if you push it fully down will it stay while blending. The removable plastic middle is far too small, so it doesn’t sit securely at all, nor does it lock in place, which by the design it seems it should. And the pitcher itself was poorly designed in that it doesn’t sit square because the blade’s bottom sticks out beneath, so the whole thing rocks – at high speeds, so violently that my whole Vitamix actually walks across the counter unless I hold it in place! That said, it does blend smoothies and even thicker hummus to a fine, even, smooth texture, and it does in fact fit beneath my cupboards. So it has that going for it, I guess.

It doesn’t fit perfectly at Vitamix 5300.

In comparison to the original Vitamix pitcher that it originally came with many years ago, it’s extremely low quality. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the plain brown unlabeled box that it came in was that the black plastic handle was slightly separating the same as another earlier reviewer pointed out. If you squeeze the handle, you can feel it close the gap and the gap opens back up as soon as you release pressure from the handle. Also, the lid is nowhere near the quality of the original and does not feel secure when placed. Does it work? Yes, it does, but with this pitcher attached, it feels like I converted my Vitamix to a cheap Chinese made blender. If you don’t care about quality and are on a tight budget, this could be a reasonable option. However, If you are on a tight budget and your old Vitamix pitcher isn’t cracked or completely broken and you just have worn blades, I would recommend sticking with your old pitcher and just installing a new blade kit on your existing pitcher. I hope my review was helpful!

Let’s start the review by saying Vitamix products are pricey. A Vitamix container like this is around $150. Should a polycarbonate container and stainless blade cost $150, I don’t think so. That being said their products are good quality. Now to this thing. I have a Vitamix that needed a replacement container. I always thought the Vitamix containers were awkwardly shaped, I thought they were too tall and could be made with a lower profile. They have since come out with a low profile container. This container is proportioned like that. The container itself is thick polycarbonate, it looks well made. Contrary to the other review, the top is a rubbery plastic that seals well to the container and feels fine to me. The blade is one piece, very sharp, non serrated and to my eve, looks identical to the original. As for how it worked, in my opinion it worked fine. I made a smoothie which came out as good as the ones I made with the Vitamix container. Again contrary to the other review I heard no grinding or wining or saw any unbalance.I put some soap and water to clean it and filmed it. You can decide.Let’s face it. This is basically a polycarbonate container with a not to difficult to manufacture one piece blade. This shouldn’t cost $150. In my opinion, this is a well made replacement for the Vitamix, I have no issues at all and it’s about 1/3 the price.
