   Awesome
   This sit stand frame is great. The dual motors are quikck and quiet and strong enough to handle a decent amount of weight. I have installed a live edge 70″ x 36″ x 1.5″ wooden table/counter top from Lowes. I did use my own screws for attaching the desk top. The screws provided for attaching a desktop are 3/4″ length, but I wanted a little longer screw for the thickness of the desktop I am using. Control pad works great and having the memory settings makes it easy to get to various heights with a single push of a button. Easy to assemble, only took about 15 – 20 minutes to setup the frame itself. I attached a surge protection extension chord to the bottom of the desktop and used some clips to secure the cables that didn’t quite fit into the cable management of the frame iteself. Looks nice and clean with only a single cable showing for the extension chord. Thought the price was great. Very sturdy. Highly recommended.

   A very sturdy and well thought out standing desk
   I use a standing desk at my workplace and when it came to setting up a home office I knew that I would want a standing desk at home. I was looking for a quality two motor desk with a decent weight rating. It would have to be capable of holding two 27″ monitors on a steel dual monitor stand with a heavy base, a laptop, stereo speakers, and a 1″ thick MDF desktop. I also wanted one that could handle a good size desktop, in this case, 30″ x 60″. I also wanted it to have some presets so once I have my sitting height and standing height dialed in, I only needed to hit one button.After doing some research I came across the PrimeCables dual motor standing desk base in black steel. I needed it fast because I was now working from home due to COVID-19 and PrimeCables and Amazon did not disappoint. It was shipped and delivered within about one week of ordering it.Assembly was a breeze. The instructions were very clear and the parts went together easily as I had no issues with fit or finish. I took my time and, including installation of the top, I think it took about three hours from start to finish including tying up the wires and configuring the computers and monitors. Once plugged in, it fired up and has been reliable in my one week of use.I particularly like the cable guides and trays underneath the desk. I have the power supply and control unit for the desk in one of the trays. In the other tray, I have the power supplies for two of my laptops (home and work) as well as a small 5 port Gig hub to handle the various network cables that I need to manage for the laptops and phones and on the desk. There are lots of places to lash zip ties or velcro cable ties so that you can tuck all the wires up against the frame which supports the desk top under the desk. I also zip tied power bars to each of the legs so that, other than the network cable to the wall, there are two power cables that also attach to the wall. Everything else will raise and lower with the desk and provides for a tidier desktop. The attached photo was taken before all of the wires had been lashed to the underside but one of the power bars can been on the leg on the right hand side.The presets are very easy to set and the controller just screws to the underside of the desk. There are three presets although I currently only use two.The desk raise and lowers reasonably quickly and I have not heard the motors straining under the weight. It is also very sturdy. When typing there isn’t any jiggling.I wanted the Walnut veneer desktop which I sourced from another company that also sells a two motor standing desk base, which was out of stock at the time I needed the desk. The PrimeCables stand seems to be every bit the quality of the stand from the other company, but I actually saved about $300 buying the pieces separately.I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend the PrimeCables base.

   Life Changing
   After nearly a year of working from home, my wife asked for a stand up desk. Her doctor and physiotherapist both recommended one, given the amount of time spent at the computer on video calls etc. So I started the search and looked here on Amazon, then Ikea and others. Ultimately, we didn’t really want to replace the Ikea desk we had in the room. There are 4 of the same desk, 1 now being used for “office” purposes. And then we came across this gem. Whoa – just change out the existing legs for new ones and keep the table top. We couldn’t have asked for a better solution and a more favourable outcome.This stand up desk option is highly recommended:1- If you have a tabletop you already like, can easily remove/replace the legs, you should consider this option.2- The dual and quiet motors are just that, super quiet.3- It was very easy to assemble. The instructions were very clear, there really aren’t that many parts, and the two of us did it in under an hour.4- It works like a charm.5- Versus all the other ones I looked at, this is the only one I found that has pre-set memory buttons. Might sound silly, but it’s extremely useful to have the upper and lower limits pre-set, so one touch of the button and voila, it moves to EXACTLY where you want it, without having to hold the button. Sounds small, but it’s a real gamechanger – I wouldn’t want one of these desks without it. And there are 3 presents, so if two of you share the desk, you can set one lower and two upper settings. AMAZING!6- Reasonably priced for what your get. A complete transformation of your desktop for under $400. Sweet.So if you’re after a stand up desk and already have a desktop that you like, this is most definitely the way to go!Set up hint: we put the table top on the floor and assembled on top of it. Made putting in the screws a lot easier than if we were doing it from under the table.About Ikea tabletops – the ones we have, and likely others, are hollow in the middle section, so be careful when putting in screws that are in the centre part. Fortunately, all the critical screws are on the perimeter, where the table is solid. Lastly, our unit came with all the necessary screws. We used the ones that came out of the table simply because they were longer than the ones that came with the stand-up desk. Oh, and also, to install the button pad – I used 2 screws on either side – makes it a more solid fit. And as for the branding comment – these guys can brand it all they want – it’s so great!!
