Dementia monitoring
I use this for my spouse who has dementia. It allows me to get up early and go to my home gym for a much needed ME time workout and I can watch his movements: sleeping. If he gets up out of bed I can talk to him and tell him I’m on my way to help him. If im not monitoring him I will get a notice about movement detected so I can then go to the app and see what’s going on. It’s been invaluable for my ongoing self care on this journey of the long goodbye.

Wildly overpriced, broke after 6 months, awful customer service
TLDR: This is a garbage product. Avoid.I bought this camera with high hopes and even subscribed to their rather expensive analytics service. Heck, I even bought the carrying case!Unfortunately, the temperature sensor only worked about 1 in 10 days and the sleep tracking stuff was totally wrong/useless. The flex stand would disconnect periodically unless I had it propped in a super specific way, which meant that it would just randomly not be working–not a great feature in a baby monitor (!?!).I cancelled my subscription after a month, but was still billed for the year… It still worked as a high quality (if now quiet overpriced) monitor except when the flex stand disconnected randomly, until I tried to bring it on vacation with us. After trying to connect to a new network at vacation rental, the unit just stopped connecting to anythjng. I tried resetting it and nothing happened. I tried calling and was on hold for 1.5 hours before I was played an automated message saying I should email them. I emailed them and I still haven’t heard from them after 2 weeks. I am now looking at buying a new monitor. This is an absolute garbage product. Avoid.

Works great until it doesn’t
I love this camera when it’s working but my daughter is 20 months and the pairing button broke. I have the traveling case for when we leave the house so I don’t know how it stopped working. The button became loose and just giggles now.Without the pairing button it can’t connect to wifi and you can’t use the camera without wifi. The camera is now useless after less then two years.The camera would be perfectly fine if this button worked or if you could pair it another way. I reached out to customer service and they said because it’s a year old there is nothing they can do.Be really careful buying this as you may have to spend the money again within less then two years.

The product doesn’t work half the time. The camera stand is super flimsy always comes off and doesn’t connect.

Underwhelming
Everyone raves about this product but I have been completely disappointed with it.-it often does this loading thing where I can’t access the camera or audio . I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps and it will just sit there and spin sometimes for a good 10 minutes. At 345 am when I’ve been up every hour this is the last thing I want to see.- the sleep analysis option is great .. if the camera picks everything up. You can adjust the sensitivity but it will still miss big things ( like what time she wakes up ) half the time but record her arm twitching..- be prepared to have your phone plugged into a charger 24/7 and for it to get pretty hot when you’re using itOverall I really regret going with the nanit. I heard so many great things especially for sleep analysis but I’ve been truly disappointed.

I received a used item… If I wanted a used or an open box item I would’ve purchased it from the marketplace and wouldn’t pay a premium for it!

Broke after 3 years of standard use – not used for travel
The notifications are not accurate. The camera makes a loud clicking sound when it turns on out of what I assume is sleep mode and has woken our baby up.After 3 years of use it died and we got no support for repair.Lots of bells and whistles but the only useful thing is to get live camera to your phone, which many other baby cameras offer with a much lower price tag.Very delicate and positioning specific, so poor as a travel camera, we bought a wyze for 20$ instead to travel with.

This is our second baby monitor and our baby isn’t even two yet. The first one wasn’t connecting to the monitor so we decided to switch to this as it goes to the phones and an iPad. I love how it tells me when our toddler is standing up in the crib. The constant notifications to my phone truly gives me peace of mind. They truly figured out a parents needs and added all the right features. Also love how it’s so easy to just take with you when traveling.

The product description says 1year of insights are included. Turns out they’re not…and even if they were, the app don’t provide insights if you use the Flexi stand (which is what is included in the box).Poor (misleading?) labelling…the product is NOT what the description says.

BLUF: Functionality is great but camera frequently disconnects, making the system totally useless and customer service response to issues is dreadfully slow.Pros: The camera system is fantastic when it works. The image is clear and the audio comes through nicely. There isn’t nearly as much of a delay as I thought there would be with the WiFi-based system either. The app is well-designed and easy to use. The notification system for sounds and movement also works well.Cons: The system only works about 70% of the time. The camera frequently struggles to connect when opening the app or is extremely delayed in connecting. This obviously causes concern that the notification system isn’t working correctly when not actively monitoring the app. There is also a common problem where the camera totally disconnects from the app and you can’t reconnect it. This has been an issue for months but Nanit has failed to offer an actual solution. We lost use of the camera for over a month because it would not connect. Also, the base and camera do not properly connect, making the camera fall off the base easily. This system is extremely expensive. Based on the issues I’ve had and the price, I would not recommend this product. If Nanit’s customer service was more responsive it would probably change my opinion. However, I submitted multiple customer service requests over the disconnection issues and it took weeks for a response. The response I received was generic and instructed me to try techniques I had already tried (and explained that I had tried in my service request).Again, the camera system works great, when it works. The main issue is I feel uncomfortable depending on the system when it comes to the safety of my child.

Has a super sensitive mic which is awesome! You can literally hear your baby breathing. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I think it’s a bit overpriced and wish it was 4k especially for the price you are paying. If you zoom in a lot, the quality will be greatly diminished. Other than that, we love this camera.Btw if you want to take full advantage of all the features on the camera; you will have to get a paid membership.
