After a full week of monitoring, in a busy location, the battery still had more than half its original charge. Ideal camera for simple and out-of-the-box home security
This is a great starter pack home security camera for basic needs such as monitoring access to your house. The pros are:- blazing fast setup: just unbox it, charge it, turn it on and link it with the phone app- good day-round video quality: the resolution is good enough to discern facial features at a relatively long distance, and it’s got some IR LEDs that give it night vision capabilities- the chance of auto-upload to a (paid! but cheap) cloud service.- somewhat customizable user interphase.The cons are:- It does not allow a 24h upload to the cloud, only zone-triggered events- Adhesives for camera installation do not hold it in place, they are just not designed for its weight. Consider buying some sturdier 3M adhesive or similar. Related con is that there is no system to install the camera with screws or bolts.- No multi-platform support, no IP camera support, so you can only use their mobile apps.- Although the design is sturdy, it will not work well in wet or dusty environments.In summary, it is a high quality camera recommended for simple use cases.
