Long Battery Life.
Nice watch. I may even order another as a back up. LOVE the alarm function. Watch vibrates to wake you. Have not slept in since strapping it on.Love the display. Looks good on the wrist.Only minor issue is the watch doesnât like the water. It will often freeze upOr glitch if it gets wet. I simply donât wear it swimming anymore.

Decent fitness tracker, poor app/privacy concern, decent quality, 2x straps, inaccurate monitor
This is a reasonably decent (albeit basic in comparison to most others) fitness tracker/smart watch (EF1) that appears well-built and for the most part works as expected. It has 2 of the most common monitors (HR and SpO2 but not BP) which are somewhat typical for these fitness trackers nowadays. What set this apart from many others though is that it comes with a stainless steel strap as well as a silicone/TPU one; I personally prefer stainless steel strap. Of course, one of the best features of this is that it has an AMOLED screen that’s noticeably better than most others. It does have many of the standard features as most other budget or off-brand smart watches have and the screen can be set to always stay on if needed. In addition, it has 2x crown/pusher, which is decent because additional shortcut keys can be set with them.⥠NoteThese so-called SMART WATCHES are really just FITNESS TRACKERS with added features (i.e. flashlight, calculator; mostly useless ones too) and it’s NOT a true smart watch/device. A true smart device operates by itself on its own without the NEED to install an App for it to run and without depending on another device (i.e. your phone) to run.For instance, if your PHONE requires an App to be installed on a LAPTOP in order for various functions on your phone to work, or if your phone would lose certain features WHEN your laptop goes offline, would you consider your phone to be a SMART phone? Well, I wouldn’t and I’ll be extremely upset if that’s the case, and that’s exactly what happens here most of these so-called smart watches.###⥠FeaturesBy standard I don’t mean one or two, in fact, the standard nowadays is about a dozen or so including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen, or even glucose monitor just to name a few. It has 2 monitors which is decent but would be better if it also has BP monitor; unfortunately, 1 of the monitors (HR) don’t seem to be accurate at all (SpO2 appears to be reasonably accurate for the most part although we know the figures for the vast majority of healthy people is usually either 98% or 99%) which is quite upsetting to have found out after numerous tests. In addition, the steps counter seems to be off by about 3200+ so that’s not exactly accurate either but it’s certainly not the worst.I should also mention that an increasing large number of these devices that I’ve come across lately have all suffered from the same (or at least quite similar) issues which implies to me that perhaps hardware (sensors and/or other related components) under the hood is identical across ALL of these watches. It also has the typical sports and/or exercise related features that many others have. It has a reasonably large screen of 1.43″ (for round case) in comparison to many others with a 1.32/1.38″ screen. With that being said, 1.43″ is somewhat of a norm (or at least becoming increasingly common) at this point in time for these watches with a round case so that’s that. I should also note that the advertised 100+ sports requires the app; otherwise, only a handful or so are available (which is more than most people would need under normal circumstance). The same can be said for watch faces/styles (200+ claimed) too and that’s a common practice for these devices nowadays.⥠BatteryIts battery capacity is 460 mAh but it’s unverified although that’s noticeably higher than the average/norm (around 300 mAh or so) for these trackers. In either case, whatever the capacity might be, the only thing I really care is that it can last me an entire day (charge once a day is fine with me). With that being said, I also don’t have a clue about the longevity of the battery but that’s a common concern for all rechargeable smart watches out there (i.e. battery dies unexpected fast). Note that the default screen timeout is 5sec which is unusably short for me but it can be increased up to 30 seconds (whereas some other can’t t at all while a few can do 60 sec) so that’s great. I don’t necessarily want 30 sec but it’s nice to have the options (I set mine to 15sec). It can always be disabled if needed as aforementioned.⥠Water resistanceBtw, these fitness trackers/smart watches are NOT meant to be submerged in water (salty or otherwise) longer than a few minute even though they often advertise as being IP68 or even 5 ATM which is completely nonsensical if you know what that really means (around 50m under water but it’s really meant for accidental submersion); otherwise, there is an extremely high probability that it will die prematurely, as I’ve found out the hard way.⥠AppFor those who are curious about what the ‘GloryFitPro’ app (2.4 rating) requires;â Any data may be shared with other companies or organizations, including but not limited to;* Email address and Phone number, Fitness info, Precise location, Photos and videos, Contacts* SMS or MMS, Files and docs, Installed apps, Device or other IDsâ Data isn’t encrypted (typical practice in China)* Data is encrypted during transitâ Device & app history* read sensitive log dataâ Contacts* read your contactsâ Location* approximate location (network-based), precise location (GPS and network-based)â Phone* directly call phone numbers, read call log, read phone status and identity, Photos/Media/Files* read the contents of your USB storage, modify or delete the contents of your USB storageâ Storage* read the contents of your USB storage, modify or delete the contents of your USB storageâ Camera & Microphone* take pictures and videos, record audioâ Wi-Fi connection information* view Wi-Fi connectionsâ Device ID & call information* read phone status and identityâ Other* receive data from Internet, view network connections, pair with Bluetooth devices, control vibration* access Bluetooth settings, control flashlight, full network access, run at startup, prevent device from sleepingâ NoteLike nearly all other budget smart watches (or any other ‘smart’ devices really) out there, an App is REQUIRED for this to function at its fullest which means you are giving the manufacturer (and whoever they decide to share it with or without your permission) AND the app OWNER (i.e. some company in China and that equates to the gov in this case) your COMPLETE and entire historical data. Some people consider some of these (i.e. precise GPS location, health info, heart rate, blood pressure, or the alike) to be ‘extremely’ personal information and therefore are private. Data mining, analysis, prediction, and eventually profit making and/or a form of control will be vital in many aspects of our lives in the foreseeable future. If this concerns you at all, look elsewhere.###⥠ValueAll things considered, this is a fairly decent FITNESS TRACKER (with some smart watch functions) that works just fine if you don’t care about any of the issues mentioned above , in particular the issues with the HR monitor and to a certain degree the step counter. It’s reasonably priced at $60 for what it provides (a generic fitness tracker, EF1) and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.

Fitness Monitoring Would Not Work For Me
I have bought several Lige smartwatches in the past. They do look very nice, and the watch interface itself is quite good. The others I have had in the past were far better than this one however. The watch was unable to measure my heart rate and blood oxygen 95% of the time, including when I was sitting still and holding it down on my wrist. I would always just give an error and say to tighten the strap. It also used a different smartphone app from my other ones.In terms of smart features, the alerts were really hit or miss, and it would display the incorrect caller ID when it detected an incoming call. It would not alert me on emails not Teams messages, which worked flawlessly on my other Lige model. I opted to return this model and bought a different Lige model to replace it.

Looks very expensive when wearing it
My first smart watch it takes time to learn all the things on this watchI think it gets smarter the longer you wear itI like it to listen to music and track my stepsI also like as it tracks my sleepThis watch just keeps gettingbetter , a super deal for the price. It took a while to get it all fiquired out , I am a carpenter and use the watch to listen to music instead of carrying a big radio around the job site

Excellent display, accurate machining, quick responsive interface.
This is a VERY long review! Feel free to jump to the Verdict, at the bottom if you’re pressed for time. I warn you now, this is a bit of a deep dive!My previous experience with smart watches includes a variety of brands, from the very inexpensive, to very expensive. (My daily driver is a Garmin.) I would say this watch falls somewhere into the inexpensive end of the range, but if you’re considering it, you shouldn’t rely on price as an indication of function or quality. In the case of the Lige EF1, I’ve been surprised by how much I like this watch, considering it’s cost (at the time of writing)Body. The EF1 is about 14mm thick, from the bezel face to the heart rate sensor (which sits about 1.5mm proud of the body.) The back of the watch is inset slightly, and has a chamfer which makes the watch feel a bit thinner. The watch body is about 47mm in diameter. The AMOLED display is 36.32mm diameter. (If you’re looking for a face protector, 35mm or 36mm should fit.The watch has an upper knob button, which turns the display on if it’s off and toggles between your chosen face and the app list. It also returns you to the main face display if you’re in any of the sub screens. A secondary button, lower right side, can be set to a chosen app. I’ve set mine to the timer as that’s what I tend to use most often throughout the day.Phone audio can be toggled on and off from within the settings function under Settings/Sound & Vibration. I appreciate being able to pipe music to my wrist, but as with the majority of smart watches, the audio quality is high on the Treble and low on Base. You can receive and make calls from the watch. A novel function, but one I’m not inclined to use much. The App list can be easily changed between 6 different layouts. I prefer the default list layout which includes text descriptions. Once I am more familiar with the icons, I might switch to one of the bubble layouts.Extras.In addition to the watch itself, included in the box you also receive the following:A USB-A to magnetic-two-spring-pin charging connector which magnetically snaps in place on the back of the watch for charging. (You will have to supply your own USB-A power source.)A woefully inadequate user manual. (more on that below)A black silicone watch band. (which is VERY long, going on the assumption that men with larger wrists will be inclined to buy a watch of this size.) I’ve got smaller wrists, and the band still works as it’s got two keepers, which allows you to tuck the very end of the band in place.A very slick dark grey brushed stainless link band. (and the tool for removing links! Nice touch) Though I don’t use linked bands as they always end up shaving my wrist and it’s annoying for the first few days having hairs randomly plucked! The band connection is 22mm. The manual also mentions that if you need additional links, you can contact Lige to get “free steel belt accessories.” to extend the strap. I’m not sure if this means additional links or something else, but it’s considerate none-the-less.3 extra spring bars (strap pin that include the little lever you can push to attach or detach the strap)A fancy little violet sleeve which contains a numbered credit card style warranty card with contact information, and a 24month warranty which I am pleasantly surprised about. A small screen cleaning cloth, and sealed pack containing a screen cleaning wipe. I would like to have seen a couple inexpensive plastic screen protectors included, but no luck there. The timer function. As I use the timer quite a lot I’ve things to say! Unfortunately when selecting the timer, it displays a 2 column list of buttons, starting at 1minute going up, through 2,5,10,15, and 20 minutes. I use 3 and 4 minute timers when steeping tea! So I must, select the timer, then scroll to the bottom of the screen past the default numbers, press the custom button, then set the time. I would much prefer if the selection of the timer app went straight to the last used setting. As it stands, it requires 4 actions to activate a custom timer. At least, when you arrive at the custom timer screen, it shows the last used setting, but it still takes 3 actions to get there.Swiping down.Opens a screen with 6 options. Phone audio toggle, icon layout, wake on tilt toggle (great for theatres, and watching TV in a dark room when don’t want to be disturbed by the watch face waking up.) Although, if you wake up the display by pressing the side button, it cannot be turned off except by waiting for the screen to time out. (I would have preferred if the display turned off when you lowered your wrist, as it does when the wake on tilt is active.) Brightness level toggle, do not disturb toggle, and settings. Finally, this screen includes small indicators at the bottom for phone status, battery life and phone link status.Swiping right. (no, not that)Opens up a half face screen that shows the last 5 apps you’ve used. So for example, at the moment I see Alarm, Settings, Ring [my phone], Music [control], and Calculator. This definitely makes up for the limit of only a single customizable button. When you use an app, it is placed at the left most position in the stacked list of 5, and it bumps the last icon off the right end of the list. What a great feature. I use it all the time. That same screen includes weather status, and the phone app button, for quick access to call screen. Both below the last used icons.Swiping Left.Opens a graph of daily activity. Steps, Calories burned, and Distance travelled. You can swipe up from here through four additional screens with details on each. Including a weekly step graph at the very bottom. You can also continue to swipe Left from this screen to cycle through detailed screens for heart rate, Blood O2 levels, Stress level, Sleep patterns, Weather, Music control. Swiping up on some of these screens will reveal more tracking data and additional information.Swiping up.Goes to notifications. (while on a notification you can reveal the trash icon by swiping left.I’ve not had the chance to see if third party watch face design software works with this watch. Though from my initial investigation, it seems unlikely. I will update if I find out more. What I like. You can choose from a wide variety of watch faces through the app. (See dislikes below for one caveat)Screen brightness is excellent for direct sunlight use. (see dislikes for one issue)The speaker audio is very good for such a small device. Loud enough to hear without too much trouble. Piping phone audio can be toggled on and off from the settings screen or from the swipe down menu. (Old timey phone receiver icon)I appreciate that you can change the icon menu layoutThe sports/health tracking functions are all of the standard functions you find in modern smart watches. You can link the app to your phones built in health tracking, but I prefer not to.Over the week I’ve been wearing it, the battery life has been excellent. Granted I don’t really use the on board audio and I also don’t make calls from my wrist! (Though I like that it is capable of making Dick Tracey private eye wrist calls! This uses the bluetooth connection to your phone.) At the end of day 6, the battery life was down to 58 percent, with an average daily drop of about 6%. I would estimate more when using audio or making phone calls from the watch. What I dislike.I would like to be able to remove most of watch faces which come preinstalled. You are limited to installing only two additional faces. (plus the 9 preinstalled.) I like to swap faces regularly, and I would prefer to choose 11 faces to install myself, rather than always having to jump back into the app to pick and download one face at a time. I hope that the software is updated in the future to allow more flexibility and to remove the other faces. I would like to be able to use third party watch face software to design and install my own faces.App permissions seem a bit excessive, and I honestly don’t really trust the data policies that come with these import watches, but it’s a necessary evil if you want to use all of the watch functions.Animated watch faces have a very low frame rate. I would rather not use an animated face for this reason. They simply look bad. (hand movement is perfect, not related to background animations)Screen brightness as I’ve mentioned, is excellent, but, it does not Auto Adjust to changes in ambient light levels, so going from indoors to a bright sunny day outdoors requires that you swipe down, then tap on the brightness icon, which goes upwards through 5 distinct brightness levels. It’s fairly quick to adjust but it would be nice to have a light sensor for this purpose. (not a deal breaker, just an inconvenience)The manual is very limited, I would have liked a more extensive instruction set which went over all the functions in detail.I would have liked two additional physical buttons. Being able to set more than one custom button would have been very useful. The watch is very thick. I’ve switched to a wider leather cuff style band which helps bulk out my wrist. I’ve always avoided thick watches as I’ve got lean wrists, but the watch is very light weight considering it’s size, and I notice it’s size much less than I thought I would.VerdictI’m quite surprised with the overall quality of the Lige EF1. The AMOLED screen is bright, and clear. The interface is quick and responsive. All of the smart watch functions work well, though exploring all of the watches details is hampered by the limited instruction manual. While I like the variety of watch faces available, I’m disappointed by the built in faces and would like the option to remove all the ones I don’t want, to make room for others. You can only install 2 additional custom watch faces at a time. The body is fairly large, yet light. The size may be an issue for people with small wrists, but I think it’s down to personal preference. The “last used apps” function is extremely useful! In conclusion, as a watch hobbyist, I find it very capable and it has earned a spot in my regular rotation.
