I purchased 2 of these pots to see of they will work for my orchids. I re potted them as they were outgrowing there old home. The plants are thriving and perfect drainage.

Good for orchid plant
Pros: – Love these baskets with lots of slits which help water drain out easily. Bought second setsCons: – Only the raised middle part is high (taken up much inner space) that orchid roots don’t have enough room to sit in easily when repotting from other pots. Probably this raised part is not needed. – The design of the outer pot part is good for draining water out to avoid roots got rotten if water is collected at the bottom. But one would need to bring orchid to water every time, ie the sink, so as water runs out of the pot. Or else, your surface table will be overflowed with water and got damaged. Kind of inconvenience! Or one might need a saucer underneath to collect water (destroy the nice look of the pot), but saucer is shallow, won’t save the water overflow problem. – The logo doesn’t need in Chinese character as one review mentioned.

What your orchids need.
Bought two orchids some time ago and eventually the blooms faded and wilted away. Being new to orchids I did some research and learned that they should be re-potted but require a special pot and soil. Got these pots and am very pleased with them. They look good and blend in well with our decor but the best feature is the mesh inner pot pops out to allow the growing medium to be watered, basically rinsed, and the outer pot to be rinsed out as well. The design allows the roots to breath which is apparently important for orchids. There are now several new leaves and bloom stems growing from each plant and they look super healthy. Highly recommend.

I purchased the pack of 3 pots. The pots look very stylish and clean. The Orchids seem to like the pots and are flowering beautifully. 1 pot had a small defect. I contacted the company directly and they were very responsive at fixing the issue.

I like but the actual planting diameter is so small. For a normal 6 inch pot, you would need this in an 8 or 10 inch size. Which they don’t appear to make.

Same complaint as some of the other reviews: the center spacing takes up so much room that there’s actually not a lot of room for orchids with a large root system.One of my orchids just didn’t fit at all and the other one fits but a lot of the roots are exposed. I live in a very dry area so I want those roots in my orchid mixture. The larger pot sizes aren’t much taller, just wider. So my other orchid that is very long just doesn’t fit at all… I will be returning 1, or maybe both pots.However I will say it’s a very pretty pot and a very good concept and had I gotten my orchids when they were smaller, I would have potted them in here right away and maybe it wouldn’t have been an issue

Size up, if you’re plus size –
Very cute ‘ little’ orchid pot, I really like the inside ‘ basket’ as it’s very sturdy and arid, but I’m not overly happy with the white outter pot as it’s quite flimsy and not a thick hard material like I thought, the white pot does not make a good soaker pot if your trying to rehydrate an orchid as the white pot pours water all over the counter and floor if filled past the lowest gray at the bottom, which does make it perfect for preventing water rot… there’s a design in the pots where if you gently press the edges of the inside pot/ basket that will separate it from the outer pot raising it up for easy access and I love that, if your orchid is healthy or over watered I think this is a good pot I just wish the outer white pot was stouter and in my case of trying to save a dehydrated orchid for my grandma I wish it didn’t leak… personally I will be buying this pot again ( probably the 4 inch tho, I got the 5inch this time and it’s a bit big…

Es una bonita maceta aunque no estoy seguro si cumple con lo que promete, lo compre para mis orquídeas y es una excelente decoración, no creo que ayude mucho a que filtre mejor el aire porque finalmente la maceta transparente la metes en la blanca y sale casi lo mimo que cualquier otra maceta. Lo que me gusto es que combina perfecto con la decoración de mi departamento, el tamaño es ideal para mi orquídea.

The item is plastic so aesthetically I don’t love it. I scratched off the logo as that looks better. The pot is wobbly so I put furniture pads on the base that are higher than the ridges so it sits flat.It’s slightly wider than I expected but ok. I found the design easy enough to repot an orchid into.The ability to pop the inner pot up is very convenient. There are heaps of air vents on the inner pot and I can tell they do work as I have to water that orchid much more frequently than my other orchids of a similar size.The most important thing is that the orchid is happy and growing new roots and leaves.I’m generally not a fan of plastic pots. But If the plastic outer doesn’t bother you then I would recommend this pot for your orchids
