    Excellent Indoor Security Camera
The Lorex 2K Indoor WiFi Security Camera has exceeded my expectations! The picture quality is incredibly sharp, even in low light, and the 2K resolution makes it easy to see every detail. Setup was quick, and the app is easy to use with helpful alerts and a live view option. It also integrates seamlessly with my WiFi network without any drops in connection. A+

    Love Lorex
This is my third Lorex product; I purchased one of these at a store and I loved how easy it is to set up and use, especially as a more “mature” 😁 female. I would recommend this product because of the price and how easy it is to use and of course the quality and the app is also easy to use.

  3. Beverly

    High quality
High quality all around. Very easy to setup with the app.I use it for front door surveillance, (porch thieves…).I put it inside, in my living room window pointing outside towards my porch.Does a great job!

  4. Max

    Good product
This product works very nicely for home surveillance. Love everything about them other then they haven’t fine-tuned the notifications so you get notifications constantly for movement

    Perfect for in the House
I got this camera for two reasons. First would be because we are starting to let our 10 almost 11 year old stay home alone for small periods of time and it gives us ease of mind when we leave him at home to check in. Second when we go on vacation we like to be able to check in on our dogs and make sure our pet sitter/house sitter is showing up daily. This camera is great it captures playback footage of events with people or pets moving. You can also view live of course. It also has the option to talk through the camera. It ahas an app with free storage so you don’t have to pay an annual or monthly fee to go back and view footage. Footage and range is clear enough for what we need it for. We don’t keep plugged in constantly but, it gives us peace of mind when we are out to check in on the house. I would recommend this camera and I am also looking into adding some of the outdoor cameras as well because our current outdoor camera are $20/month for basically the same service Lorex offers for free. Very happy with my purchase.

Most of time it’s not working or Network Error
The cam mostly not working and not recording, most of the time it’s on some Network Errors. Sometimes it’s sending the Person Detected notification while there’s no one, but sometimes it’s not sending notifications while an activity on the camera range. Bottom line, anothe cheap useless junk!

Great pace aandvery easy to set up

Not a lot of capabilities for a camera.
Did extensive test before writing. Its not all bad but but for every good there is a bad.Good camera, easy operations for noobs. High speed live viewing.Bad: No way to grab full video without constantly popping sd card., can only grab a recording of my security recording. Cannot start software recording at time of recording, always a couple seconds lost.Cannot auto backup recordings to device. Cannot set up FTP/SFTP/SSH. Cannot ip cam without app. Cannot access device settings from local ip. It’s magneticly attached to the wall; but if it’s taken then so too are the security recordings. Object detection library stops at sounds and people.

So Arlo (Netgear) pissed me off by making customers purchase a plan if they want to save files to a library. We like recording racoons that visit at night and our Arlo stopped storing videos. We have a Lorex system and I found this gem. It was super easy to add to my system from the phone app and the NVR. I use this indoor wifi cam to keep an eye on a sick cat. I have an outdoor wifi cam that I’m going to use as the racoon cam! I’ve been happy w/our Lorex NVR (just added a WD Purple 8TB HDD to the system today) and so far, it’s worked flawlessly. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a decent surveillance system. And as advertised “NO MONTHLY FEES!”

Works great! One app for all of my lorex device. It’s convenient. I would have liked a better picture quality though.

I spent three hours searching for key phrases in Amazon reviews before I decided on this camera. I almost bought a Blink, Wyze, and Ring, but canceled at the last minute. I think it was a good choice. Let me outline the pros and cons.Pros:-Can record indefinitely with motion sensing – not 30 seconds like Blink-Video is time stamped-No subscription-Multi-camera view (for free, unlike Wyze)-Completely custom detection zones in a grid (see pics)-16GB memory card advertised, 32GB included – nice that they don’t pinch pennies-Seamless Android setup (Galaxy S8; old-school)-App doesn’t crash or force a login every time it’s opened – runs rather well-Life feed doesn’t require continuous prompting like Blink-Video can be viewed in portrait or landscape mode-Videos can be downloaded to phone over the internet (if you commit it to a recording)-Privacy mode allows you to stop recording and notifications manually-No official motion detection cool-down time (what a way to screw your customers, Wyze – completely pay to play)-Permissions requests explain exactly how a given resource is used-Microphone; I could hear myself whistle from the next room while streaming the feed-Intercom, in case you want to annoy your family or get your camera stolenUpon opening the box, I thought I had the Holy Grail. I didn’t experience any of the horror stories I read about and everything was easy-peasy. Now, for the missed opportunities…Cons:-Local storage only (on the memory card in the camera); No option to commit recordings to multiple places-PC app does not work with this camera, so it is phone-controlled only-You can set a notification schedule and you can use location settings to stop recording when you are nearby, but you cannot set a hard start and stop schedule-Yes, it does generate heat, but I will update if it actually becomes an issue-If you set a motion zone, like a door, all you get is the person cracking open the door. Making the whole screen the motion zone seemed to yield better results, but it seems to defeat the purpose of a trigger zone.-Maybe it’s the wide FOV, but I thought 2k would be more detailed. Maybe cell phones have spoiled me.As you can see, it is very close to being a super product. Freedom from a subscription has its ups and downs. I dislike having to rely on technology to make decisions like if I’m home or if motion that continues outside of the zone is worth recording without having the ability to guarantee results, like “do or don’t record at these times” and “record for a minimum time of…” or “don’t stop recording until the motion stops.” I also really wish that I could access this device from my PC. I also really wish I could choose for recordings to commit to XYZ device in real time. Maybe there is a system this works with that would do that, I don’t know.Overall, it is a good product if you want something you can monitor from your phone without having to pay for the rest of your life. You can manage many cameras (I saw grid options for up to 9, possibly more) from your phone. If nobody swipes your camera, you can remotely access your recordings and “record” a given event in order to download the recording. I believe you have to manually go through and there is a way to check the boxes of events you want deleted. I don’t know what happens yet when the memory card is filled; deleting events did not seem to free any space. Hopefully it just overwrites the oldest recording.I’ve attached some pictures and recordings. Mostly of menus, since ease of use and reliability of the app was a large driver of my purchase and online documentation is scarce. I also included a video of the “click” the manual talks about when the IR filter flips down to enter night mode.5/30/22 Update: It appears that the events get deleted automatically after a few days, not after it fills up. It’s convenient to not have a bunch of events, but inconvenient because if you want to review something from last week, it’s gone. It’s also inconvenient if it always writes to the same blocks of memory, as it would wear the memory card out much faster (if it does that). If you hit the writing icon in the top right and then the four squares in the top left, you can select all events at once.Overall, it has done a good job. I still refuse to give the last star on account of the poor video management. There is no way to tell it to automatically ignore based on phone proximity or time. It will still record a ton of events when it sees you, it just will not notify you of the events.

Love I can us this with no added fee. It records over it self when full. But it only saves like 3 days out and that’s it.
