And since the seasoning is already done for you, it saves you the time and effort previously needed to season raw cast iron. The Flat Grill Press is a cast iron plate that works in conjunction with a skillet grill to produce top and bottom searing simultaneously. You can create mouth-watering steaks and seafood, plus grill press can be used to expel excess fat for a delicious low fat dish. The press offers a perfect way to drain fat from beef, eliminate curl from bacon and ham strips, and hold heat within grilled-cheese and Panini sandwiches. Use on griddles, in skillets or even on the outdoor grill. To clean just rinse with hot water and scrub with a stiff brush. Dry immediately and apply a thin layer of cooking oil. Made in the USA. Simply scour the surface with warm, soapy water and a metal scouring pad. Apply a very thin, even layer of cooking oil to the cookware. Place the cookware in the oven upside down on the top rack, place aluminum foil on the bottom to catch excess oil, and bake at 450-500 degrees F for one hour

La pressa è liscia, di buon peso, con ottima impugnatura. Forse più indicata come panini press e non burger press dato che è quella con lato flat. La differenza di prezzo con quella rigata però, a mio parere, non giustifica l’acquisto della seconda. Ovviamente paghiamo l’importazione USA, dato che nel loro hanno un costo pressoché identico e notevolmente inferiore.In Italia o andiamo su Le Creuset, e i costi lievitano, o ci affidiamo a Lodge che, a mio parere, è meno rifinita ma sicuramente meno delicata.

Esta plancha sirve muy bien para que el tocino no se enrole a la hora de cocinarlo.El tamaño es muy bueno, un cuadrado de casi 25 centimetros cada lado cubre muchas tiras de tocino al mismo tiempo.Y ademas acelera el tiempo de cocinado del tocino pues retiene muy bien el calor a la hora de ponerla sobre los alimentos.La he usado muy pocas veces desde que la compre, pero con los cuidados adecuados se mantiene como nueva, nada se le pega y cero problemas de oxido.

This press is awesome.I mostly use this in a square skillet to cook bacon. I preheat the skillet with this press inside, then drop the bacon in and hold it down with the press. No curls and not much shrinkage. I flip once, press again, and then serve—it’s the best bacon I’ve ever cooked and it comes out that way consistently.This press also fits in a great in a 12” skillet and it’s great for pressing Cuban sandwiches.
