There’s nothing to be disappointed about with this!
Build Quality: Excellent build and shape! Size is perfect and the edges are very nicely designed.Functionality: Works well as advertised. I use this on glass top and works very well. The only thing that I dislike about all these pans from all the companies is the huge branding stamp right in the middle of the pan at the bottom. At very low flame or heat this slightly impacts the distribution.I found that at the start it’s better to keep the heat maximum for a 3-4 mins and then keep it medium for 2 mins and then as soon as you start cooking reduce it further to about 25% level. The think to note with the cast iron is that it cooks food really well at 10-40% heat level. Well it may take a couple of mins more the results are certainly outstanding.I use these to cook almost everything Western & East Indian/ Pakistani food that I can cook, fry, roast, heat, re-heat that I can fit on this pan 😄 you just need to find the sweet spot for the heat depending on your type of stove, but once you get it this works Awesome!Go for it if you care about healthy cooking choices!

I apologize if I don’t sound as elated as I should at this point, force of habit I suppose, I now have many Lodge products and they’re all amazing, more than game-changers, they’re life-changers, they changed my life, I can’t go back to Teflon or Rock or whatever else. The griddle is solid, great shape, great seasoning, great finish. It cooks like a dream, nothing sticks to it, and it clean in seconds.I suppose I could go on, but I did plenty on other Lodge products, bottom-line, I trust Lodge, they make high quality, affordable products that will last you a lifetime and more. I say, buy from Lodge, because if they hadn’t kept the lights on all those years, could we have this wonderful new cast iron revival now ? I doubt it. Thank you.

Seasoning seasoning seasoning!
I have added the most important thing in my title. If you can’t take the time for seasoning it is better to stay away from this product. But if you can be prepared to be rewarded. Only read below if seasoning excites you (it surely does me!)When I opened the box I was happy with what I saw but also was waiting to see how well the pre-seasoned griddle will work. Well it doesn’t. So what is required here is to learn the seasoning process and stick to it so that nothing else sticks to this griddle ;)Step 1 – Wash the griddle with hot water(you can use hot soapy water)Step 2- Wipe it clean with kitchen cloth or kitchen towel. It should be absolutely dryStep 3 – Season it with a oil, basically grab some oil in your hands and grease it all over the griddle, front and back and the handle too(you don’t want it to rust). Any cooking oil will work that has high smoke point, like peanut oil , canola oil, mustard oil etc( not extra virgin olive oil)Step 4 – Preheat oven to 350FStep 5 – place a sheet below the griddle in the oven to catch any oil drip and place the griddle in the middle rack and put a timer of 30 minutes.Step 6- After 30 minutes carefully take the griddle out of the oven(it will be extremely hot, use mittens ) and wipe the griddle to remove excess oil.Step 7- Keep the griddle back in the oven for more 30 minutes.Step 8- Once all above is done , you have a well seasoned griddle!Whenever you use the griddle do add a little bit oil/butter on it so that it gives the right texture to the food being made. I made some spinach crepe on it and it will not take a lot of oil to be able to flip them nicely once the seasoning is done.I have taken 1 star out because pre-seasoning is not making a lot of sense and does not really help.Happy cooking!

Great griddle/biscuit pan
After frying bacon on griddle, I always season with the left over grease, inside and out and wipe dry with paper towel.This is one of the best seasons that I have tried. It makes it more none stick. My bacon turned out great and pan looks great. Even heating and easy to flip things. Can’t wait to try biscuits in it. Great buy

Solid one
This is really a good quality cast iron. It doesn’t have smell as in cheap iron pans. Very helpful for stir frying or making eggs or pancakes. It doesn’t work to make crepes though as it is pretty heavy to hold up&down all the time

Buy this pan – you won’t regret it!
I 110% recommend this pan. I’ve giftedIt to family and they love it too! The Lodge manufactures great products, and they are pretty much the safest and best way to cook. Just buy it, but make sure to buy a silicone handle cover because the handles get hot too. Cast iron is the best, hands down! I use mine every day.

Item received promptly and well packaged. As many will know Lodge are up there with the best in cast iron cookery and this pan is no different. Great size for crepes, pancakes and also serves as a great sheet for baking scones etc. Comes pre-seasoned but worth seasoning further to ensure better protection. Pretty heavy and takes a little bit longer to preheat but well worth the extra money for Lodge over the cheaper brands. Well recommended, will last for years to come.

Great pan for making crepes and any other things that fit in it. Cast iron finish is smooth. Only downside is you have to clean it afterwards, burn it until all moisture evaporates and apply oil seasoning to keep it rust free and that takes some time (no dishwashers etc).
