WHAT IS A PHOTOCHROMIC LENS ?
A photochromic lens is a lens that becomes dark when exposed to a certain wavelength of light (usually ultraviolet light). When it is no longer illuminated by this light source, it will return to its original light transmittance and become clear.
Presbyopia (Greek word) means ‘age of sight’. It is not the same as farsightedness. It is a gradual loss of accommodation and happens to almost everyone in their mid-42s. Glass is distorted on the tortoise pink ones
The champaigne glasses are very comfortable and work well for viewing. The tortoise pink glasses are very attractive and comfortable glasses, but the actual glass is distorted and impossible to use for working at a computer. Unfortunately, I procrastinated with returning them and It is my loss.

It seemed like these glasses looked good on everyone who reviewed them. I have a shaved head and without anything framing the rest of my face, like the other reviewers i saw, i wouldnt say these are an ideal shape for me, but theyre close enough. Definitely keeping them.I bought the peach and tortoiseshell set. The peach looks best and why i bought that set. The tortoiseshell, not so much. But, it doesnt matter.Theyre comfortable, they have a large viewing space (theyre not small cateyes, which is good for reading, so your frames dont get in your vision). They come with accessories (cleaning wipe, a case and librarian style around-the-neck holders. I dont know what theyre called).Quality seems fairly good. Theyre not crooked, the lenses don’t have any defects or marks/scratches, the behind the ear parts are not loose and wobbly.Theyre really helpful for reading, my eyes have been fatigued lately and these help with that.There is an easy online test to help you get a basic idea of what strength reading glasses you need (i used the website luxreaders “online eyetest for reading glasses” i just googled “reading glasses online test” and found that chart). I used that chart and bought a +1.00 and that seemed good for what my eyes needed. So pretty easy to pick out.

They look great on. Very happy with the style. I needed bi-focal readers and these fit the bill. The quality is what I would expect for the price. I don’t expect them to last for many years but we’ll see.

Well-made glasses! I ordered the strength (+1.25) recommended by my eye surgeon after cataract surgery, and they were exactly what I needed! They help my vision while working on my computer (something I do quite often for long periods during the day). I’ve had one cataract removed, getting the other one done in a few days. I ordered and received two pairs of glasses, and I’m thrilled with them. They shipped very fast and came packed securely and safely.
