Decent fitness tracker, poor app/privacy concern, decent quality, LED, inaccurate monitors
This is a reasonably decent (and perhaps ever so slightly more advanced than many others) fitness tracker/smart watch (FV3-A) that appears well-built and for the most part works as expected. It has 3 of the most common monitors (HR, BP, and SpO2) which are somewhat typical for these fitness trackers nowadays. It does have many of the standard features as most other budget or off-brand smart watches have; however, what set this apart from many others is that it has a slightly larger display along with a slightly larger battery capacity (though it can’t be verified).≡ NoteThese so-called SMART WATCHES are really just FITNESS TRACKERS with added features (i.e. flashlight, calculator; mostly useless ones too) and it’s NOT a true smart watch/device. A true smart device operates by itself on its own without the NEED to install an App for it to run and without depending on another device (i.e. your phone) to run.For instance, if your PHONE requires an App to be installed on a LAPTOP in order for various functions on your phone to work, or if your phone would lose certain features WHEN your laptop goes offline, would you consider your phone to be a SMART phone? Well, I wouldn’t and I’ll be extremely upset if that’s the case, and that’s exactly what happens here most of these so-called smart watches.###≡ FeaturesBy standard I don’t mean one or two, in fact, the standard nowadays is about a dozen or so including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen, or even glucose monitor just to name a few. It has 3 monitors which is decent; unfortunately, 2 of the monitors (HR and BP) don’t seem to be accurate at all (SpO2 appears to be reasonably accurate for the most part although we know the figures for the vast majority of healthy people is usually either 98% or 99%) which is quite upsetting to have found out after numerous tests. In addition, the steps counter seems to be off by about 3200+ so that’s not exactly accurate either but it’s certainly not the worst.I should also mention that an increasing large number of these devices that I’ve come across lately have all suffered from the same (or at least quite similar) issues which implies to me that perhaps hardware (sensors and/or other related components) under the hood is identical across ALL of these watches. I should also mention that this particular model is electrically identical to the following models: BW190, BW220, BW264, BW290/296/298, BW326-329, BW351/352, BW335/338, BW1220/1270/1290, BW1821-1829, BW1830-1839, ST1-ST39.It also has the typical sports and/or exercise related features that many others have. It has a fairly large screen of 1.91″ (for square case) in comparison to many others with a 1.85″/1.78″ screen. With that being said, 1.9x” is somewhat of a norm (or at least becoming increasingly common) at this point in time for these watches with a square case and frankly, I don’t see that much of a difference between this 1.91 and those with 1.85″ (well, you really shouldn’t since it’s only 0.15mm difference).I should also note that the advertised 100+ sports requires the app; otherwise, only a handful or so are available (which is more than most people would need under normal circumstance). The same can be said for watch faces/styles (200+ claimed) too and that’s a common practice for these devices nowadays. The LED is perhaps a nice touch for some people; however; I don’t find them particularly useful for me because I have my phone for that and it’s just that much easier with my phone than fiddling around with this watch with a much smaller screen. In any event, those features are there should you have the needs for them.≡ BatteryIts battery capacity is 430 mAh but it’s unverified although that’s significantly more than the average/norm (around 300 mAh or so) for these trackers. In either case, whatever the capacity might be, the only thing I really care is that it can last me an entire day (charge once a day is fine with me). With that being said, I also don’t have a clue about the longevity of the battery but that’s a common concern for all rechargeable smart watches out there (i.e. battery dies unexpected fast). Note that the default screen timeout is 5sec which is unusably short for me but it can be increased up to 30 seconds (whereas some other can’t at all while a few can do 60 sec) so that’s great. I don’t necessarily want 30 sec but it’s nice to have the options (I set mine to 15sec). It can always be disabled if needed as aforementioned.≡ Water resistanceBtw, these fitness trackers/smart watches are NOT meant to be submerged in water (salty or otherwise) longer than a few minute even though they often advertise as being IP68 or even 5 ATM which is completely nonsensical if you know what that really means (around 50m under water but it’s really meant for accidental submersion); otherwise, there is an extremely high probability that it will die prematurely, as I’ve found out the hard way.≡ AppFor those who are curious about what the ‘GloryFit’ app (3.2 rating) requires;✘ Any data may be shared with other companies or organizations, including but not limited to;* Email address and Phone number, Fitness info, Precise location, Photos and videos, Contacts* SMS or MMS, Files and docs, Installed apps, Device or other IDs✘ Data isn’t encrypted (typical practice in China)* Data is encrypted during transit✘ Device & app history* read sensitive log data✘ Contacts* read your contacts✘ Location* approximate location (network-based), precise location (GPS and network-based)✘ Phone* directly call phone numbers, read call log, read phone status and identity, Photos/Media/Files* read the contents of your USB storage, modify or delete the contents of your USB storage✘ Storage* read the contents of your USB storage, modify or delete the contents of your USB storage✘ Camera & Microphone* take pictures and videos, record audio✘ Wi-Fi connection information* view Wi-Fi connections✘ Device ID & call information* read phone status and identity✘ Other* receive data from Internet, view network connections, pair with Bluetooth devices, control vibration* access Bluetooth settings, control flashlight, full network access, run at startup, prevent device from sleeping✘ NoteLike nearly all other budget smart watches (or any other ‘smart’ devices really) out there, an App is REQUIRED for this to function at its fullest which means you are giving the manufacturer (and whoever they decide to share it with or without your permission) AND the app OWNER (i.e. some company in China and that equates to the gov in this case) your COMPLETE and entire historical data. Some people consider some of these (i.e. precise GPS location, health info, heart rate, blood pressure, or the alike) to be ‘extremely’ personal information and therefore are private. Data mining, analysis, prediction, and eventually profit making and/or a form of control will be vital in many aspects of our lives in the foreseeable future. If this concerns you at all, look elsewhere.###≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a fairly decent FITNESS TRACKER (with some smart watch functions) that works just fine if you don’t care about any of the issues mentioned above , in particular the issues with the HR monitor and to a certain degree the step counter. It’s reasonably priced at $46 for what it provides (a generic fitness tracker, FV3-A) and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.

Works Great
I love this smartwatch. I love all the features it comes with. It fits my wrist great and is very comfortable. It was really easy to set up. It has worked great since I’ve had it.

Heavy and bulky, but the flashlight really is good.
Getting it out of the way, YES, the flashlight is definitely brighter than any light I’ve ever used on a smartwatch. It’s basically on par with a pen-light, but not as bright as a small handheld single-AA battery flashlight. There are no external controls for it though, so you’ll need to access the swipe-down menu in order to use it, and it only has one brightness setting. As for the watch case, it’s quite thick and heavy. The screen doesn’t have an equal frame along the edge either which is bummer. Most cheap smartwatches have more frame on the bottom and this one seems to be of a similar design. Fortunately, the resolution is very good for such a large screen and the colours have good saturation. The scrolling could be smoother though. As for the buttons, there’s only one dial/button on the side (the bottom one is the flashlight lens) and I’m happy to say that the dial is a proper one. It actually functions and scrolls through the dial faces on the homescreen, as well as the icons in the settings, with a distinct click with each turn. Points there. Pushing in the dial simply turns the screen on and off, as well as returning to the previous screen. But there’s a strange slit on the other side of the case that I can’t quite figure out. At first I thought it was a slot for a micro-SD card, but neither the page nor the manual even mention it. Took a flashlight and shined it in there to find it completely empty. No electronics or prongs for a card at all. A vestigial slot or design choice? Either way, it’s a bit strange and makes me hesitant to test the waterproofness. You definitely do need the app to sync the time though, and only 3 of the 5 preset dial faces are usable. Absolutely recommend using GloryFit over FitCloudPro (the manual says to download the latter), although the watch is recognized by both apps. The selection of dial faces is limited, but there are enough there to get a taste of uniqueness. Most unfortunately, you can only store one additional dial face on the watch in addition to the preset ones which you can’t delete. As for wearability, it’s certainly on the heavy side, but the included straps are excellent – both handsome and durable, depending on your needs. You’ll need to watch a short vid on how to remove the extra links in the metal strap if you’ve never done it before. It’s quite easy once you get the hang of it, but requires patience and proper buckle placement. Personally, I prefer the silicone strap since it fits the aesthetic better.Functionality is good too. The heart rate monitor has a pretty good sensor, and I’m glad to see both a calculator and calendar. You can also set alarms directly on the watch. Scrolling right from the homescreen also goes directly to the features icon list screen, which DOESN’T have a continuous scroll, something I’m super happy about. I hate scrolling down quickly and having the screen constantly moving like a damn slot machine. Unfortunately, the timer doesn’t have a memory function, so if you need a customized countdown outside of the quick access ones they give you, after you use it, it won’t be stored on the watch. There is no AOD (always on display) face either which sucks; but with a screen this size, it probably would have drained the battery in like a day or two. Fortunately, stand-by time is well over a week so you won’t need to charge it often.Overall, I probably wouldn’t recommend it as a daily wear watch since it’s so big and heavy, but for outdoor activities and occasional trips, I’d say it’s pretty good. Definitely has an intimidating look on the wrist and I’ve already had one comment on it. Doesn’t have an on-board compass or GPS it’s true, but it can easily handle the emphatic gesticulations associated with strenuous exercise. The larger screen size is also great for those with vision issues or larger fingers. Kinda wish the dial faces were more customizable myself, but you can still change between them if you stay synced to the phone app…which is decently quick. Haven’t tested the call or music features, but the rest of the watch is good. Four stars from me.

Very affordable smartwatch
Great smartwatch with plenty of features. Relatively well made and worth the price. It’s great that they include a metal bracelet and a rubber strap. They are both comfortable. I have included pictures with both, but keep in mind that the plastic wrap is still on the bracelet in my photos. The bracelet is not extremely high quality. Just average.Included some photos of the drag-down quick settings menu and the second page of the quick settings. That’s also how you activate the flashlight. Good battery life, depending on how often you mess around with it, or use / play with the flashlight.Last photo is an example of the flashlight in a pitch black bathroom. It gets the job done. The colors probably don’t come across perfectly in my photos, but in person the screen and colors are vibrant.Very easy to use. LIGE smartwatches are quite good. Makes a great gift, even for yourself, at this affordable price.
