Looks Great, Loaded with Premium Features, Excellent Value for the Advanced Features
What’s Included:- Watch, black silicone tactical band, black silicone/leather professional band with magnetic clasp, magnetic USB charging cable, screen wipe, microfiber towel, warranty/support card & a user manual.First Impressions:- It has an AMOLED display for sharp clear images while using less power.- Display is 40.3mm in diameter (glass only) with a 36.8mm viewable area.- Body measures approx. 51.2mm wide x 56.1mm long (lug to lug) x 15.4mm thick. The lugs are 21.8mm wide, so it should work with any 22mm bands.- The bezel has a nice brushed black chrome look and should work with any outfit.- Flashlight integrated on the side of the watch.- Large 530mAh battery with a 30 days standby time & 5-7 days of standard working time.First Use:On initial power on, you have the option to choose your language and then it pops up with the QR code so you can download/pair the watch with your phone/app. I found if I pressed a random combination of the back button and the GPS (top left) or power button (top right) it allowed the pairing to be bypassed. When I checked the settings, I was surprised to find the option for time & date. It was default set to sync with the app, but it actually allowed the feature to be turned off and I could set the time & date manually. This is a very rare thing to find on budget smartwatches and I was pleasantly surprised it had this feature. This allows the watch to actually function as a watch without the need to be paired with a phone/app to use. This is a major plus for me.I was finding features that are normally only found on premium/expensive smartwatches.- Always On Display (AOD) that can be enabled/disabled with selectable dial faces.- Tap to Wake so the screen turns on just by tapping the screen.- Cover to Sleep. When enabled, will turn off the screen if you cover the display with your palm. Also known as slap-to-sleep.- Active health monitoring that checks your heart rate, SpO2, Blood Pressure on a scheduled/set interval vs having to only check when manually triggered.- GPS tracking while exercising, so it will be able to record your location and map your routes while out for a run/walk.- Barometric pressure, altimeter sensors.- Compass.Flashlight:The watch also has an integrated flashlight, which is currently not available on the premium smartwatches. It’s situated on the right edge of the watch body. There doesn’t seem to be a button to activate this and can only be done in the menu/settings (swipe down from the top and choose the flashlight icon). I wish there was a 4th button on the watch that would allow the flashlight to be turned on/off as this would be more convenient in my opinion. The bottom right button can be customized and set for a function of your choice; flashlight is one of the options. Currently, left-handed users get most of the back of their hands lit up and right-handed users will get their entire forearm lit up, so not very useful for righties. Moving the light location to the top edge of the watch as this would be a more ideal location as a left- or right-handed user could use the light.Sensors:I enabled active scanning of my heart rate, blood pressure & blood oxygen and wore the watch to sleep to get my sleep numbers. When I woke up and checked the watch, it did not show any sleep data. The other thing I noticed was that it reported my heart rate hit 161bpm while I was sleeping. When I took off my watch and had breakfast, I decided to check the watch and confirm the heart rate, but the data was gone and only showed my average of 67bpm.I checked the GloryFitPro app on my phone and it showed no data even though I left GPS & Bluetooth enabled to ensure the watch sync’d with the phone/app. After I disabled Bluetooth and re-enabled, it finally sync’d the data for heart rate, sleep, blood pressure and blood oxygen levels. According to the app data, the heart rate only showed the same 67bpm, so it looks like there is some slight inaccuracies in the readings. It does provide good data to the app, which is similar to the health data reports you’d see on premium watches.Subsequent sleep tests were a bit more stable/accurate with the current data appearing on the watch itself.GPS:To use the GPS, it’s only accessible via the workout selection menu. When you select a workout (if outdoor), it will pull GPS data from your phone (if GPS is enabled on your phone) and you can start the workout immediately. If you decide to go and exercise with BT/GPS disabled on your phone or don’t bring your phone with you, I was surprised to find that GPS will work on the watch without the need of a phone/app pairing. The signal reception is not great vs a cellphone. You need to be outside in an open area for it to find the GPS satellites. You either need to be stationary in an open area, which takes approx. 1.5mins to sync, or it will work while you’re walking around (outside), but this may take over 4mins to sync. The specs indicated that this uses new gen chips and should detect a satellite in approx. 30-45secs, but unfortunately, I could not get it to detect that quickly. If paired with your phone and if you have GPS enabled and bring your phone with you when exercising, GPS syncs in a few seconds. If you enable the workout before it syncs with the satellites, part of your workout route won’t be tracked. The tracking data is fairly accurate and provides a full map of your route. If not connected to your phone or if you don’t have internet, the watch will show the route, but on a black screen. Once you reconnect to your phone or once you get internet, the data will sync to your phone and provides a full map view with street info.I compared my workout data with my premium watch and found a lot of the info was almost identical with maybe a 5% variance.Pros:- Has ability to set the date and time manually without the need to pair with a phone/app.- Sensors for heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen level, steps, sleep & stress.- Lift to wake as well as tap to wake, so you can touch the screen to wake it up. These features can also be disabled.- It has cover/slap to sleep, which is like the premium smart watches where you cover the screen with your palm and it will turn off the screen. I’ve only seen this on one other budget smartwatch, but that watch couldn’t manually set the time/date, so a major bonus.- The AMOLED display has the Always On Display (AOD) that can be set for a low powered display of the time so you don’t need to wake the screen to see the time.- The watch has 12 built-in dial faces and more can be selected from the app, but you can also select from 6 built-in AOD faces and more from the app.- Built-in flashlight on the side of the watch that provides ok lighting when needed.- Comes with 2 watch bands, an all-silicone tactical design and a silicone band with a “leather” cover on top to provide a more professional/classic look. These bands have quick release pogos and are 22mm wide, which is industry standard and very easily replaceable.- Has a large 530mAh battery that has been spec’d with up to 30-day standby time & up to 5-7 days of standard working time. After 1 week of mild to light use, the battery has dropped down to 90%, so I should be able to get at least 2 weeks if not more.- The watch can be paired as a Bluetooth device and turned into a speaker. This actually surprised me. Audio sync was perfect (no delay between the audio and lip movement in videos).Cons:- GPS function takes approx. 1.5min to +4mins to sync with the satellites and any workout started before it syncs means that tracking data would not be recorded in the first few minutes.- You require to setup an account in the GloryFitPro app in order to access some reports of your heath data.- Flashlight is on the right side of the watch, so it’s ok for left hand users, but doesn’t work well for right hand users. If the light was on the top edge of the watch, it would have worked for both users.Final Impression:Overall, the LIGE DM4-C60 is an excellent budget smartwatch with features you’d only find on premium smartwatches. The design looks good in any scenario and with any outfit as it comes with both tactical looking silicone and professional/classic looking silicone/leather bands. Only minor design changes to the flashlight location would make this watch pretty much perfect. I would have liked if the GPS would acquire satellite data quicker as I don’t want to stand around 1.5min to +4mins for it to sync before starting my workout, but the GPS feature is a cut above the other budget smartwatches I’ve used in the past.At the time of this review, the watch was priced at $45.99 which is an excellent value for the premium features included on a budget smartwatch.

Nearly identical to the DM1, and a superb rugged watch overall.
Compared to the DM1, it’s essentially identical except for the styling of the case and the different preloaded dial faces. And the magnetic leatherette strap of course. However, the software UI, functionality and app are exactly the same, so just go for whichever is cheaper. The leather band isn’t really leather though. It’s made of a very soft and flexible silicone with a PU leather top and no pin-holes so you can dial in a PERFECT fit. Like, to the mm. And it’s far easier to put on and take off because you just pull on the clasp and it separates. Comfortable to wear too. As for the other rugged silicone band, it’s far stiffer and wider so it’s perfect for exercise and outdoor use. Honestly though, I much prefer the leatherette strap since it’s so much more convenient and the magnet is strong enough to hold the weight of the watch……which is on the heavier side for a rugged watch thanks to the metallic case. Thickness is ~1.5 cm (1.6 if you include the sensors on the bottom) so it’s not a super low-profile, but still decently comfortable on the wrist. Total diameter not including the strap rungs is 5 cm exactly, so it essentially covers the entire top of my wrist.PROS (+) and CONS (-):+ It’s a true stand-alone watch – you don’t need the app to use it. If you hold the “back” button on the QR code screen, you can bypass what seems like the “mandatory” download, and set the time directly on the watch.+ The upgraded UI includes a FULLY customizable quick-access menu (up to 11 icons AND their order), cards (including the order AND settings for each), and the bottom right “back” button.+ 11 preloaded dial faces PLUS an additional 4 that can be downloaded from the app and stored on the watch.+ 6 AOD (always on display) faces PLUS an additional one that can be downloaded from the app.+ Fantastic selection of extra dial faces.+ Excellent resolution, colour and touch response on screen.+ Compass and altimeter both work fine WITHOUT the app.+ Raise to wake, Tap to wake, and cover lock all toggled from the watch.+ Great vibration on both strong and weak settings.+ Upgraded charging screen.+ Fantastic battery life (depending on use) when not synced to the app.- Only 5-6 of the preloaded faces are actually usable out of the box.- No calendar feature.- Flashlight isn’t super bright.- GPS only works on the app.- Only one alarm sound and it’s awful.- Sensors take a while to get a reading (GOOD accuracy though).- App can still crash at times when syncing dial faces.Overall though, out of the 24 or so smartwatches I’ve used, this is easily the best one in the rugged category (along with the DM1). The build is tough, the screen is excellent, the customizability is well above average, the UI is seamless and besides the lack of a calendar, all of the main features are there. And that includes being able to use it without the app. Add to that the comfortable strap, forward-facing flashlight, compass, altimeter and GPS, and it’s nearly a perfect outdoor watch. The only things that could’ve been improved are the preloaded faces, alarm sound and the flashlight brightness. It doesn’t even suffer from the “polarization” problem where the screen is hard to see with polarized glasses. So yeah, it kicks some serious butt. Especially since I only use the awesome dial faces I get from the library anyway. You even get a readout on the date, battery life AND steps in the power saving mode – which can make the watch last up to a month on a single charge, it’s crazy. Unfortunately, since it’s not quite perfect I can’t give it 5 stars, so 4.5 is the best I can do. Still an awesome watch and recommended if you’re looking for a rugged beater. Thumbs up.

Incredible Value!! My new favorite watch.
This is my first smart watch. I didn’t think I needed one and didn’t want to waste the hundreds of dollars on one of the big name smart watches and not wear it. Two different styles of smart watches became available for order and I decided to choose this one as it resembles my traditional watch shape that I prefer to wear occasionally. This watch arrived in a very attractive box and was nicely packaged. When I removed the watch I was instantly impressed with it’s large face, stylish appearance and rugged build quality. And it just got better from there. It came with a choice of two synthetic bands. The band I installed has a hinged portion that opens up and is kept closed by a nifty magnetic clasp. I really like this feature of the watch. Set up and synchronizing the watch with my Samsung phone was easy and this enabled a lot more functions than I expected for a watch of this price. It rivals my wife’s expensive Fitbit which doesn’t even have GPS. The watch functions are intuitive with a lot of flexibility to customize the various displays. Another of my favorite options is the ability to change the image of the watch face. There are lots of cool options available and it doesn’t take long when connected to your phone. Battery power is awesome. I’ve worn the watch almost constantly for 5 days and it is at 76% of the first initial full charge. I still have a couple of functions to learn, but I am enjoying the experience this watch provides. This watch is an incredible value based on it’s rugged build quality, functionality and style. Extremely impressed and highly recommend this watch.
