Great Secure Baby Monitoring Screen and Camera
First thing I noticed when I was about to open the box are the security seals on both sides so you know no one has tampered with the shipping box and inside the box, a plastic bag also has a security seal.Inside the plastic bag is a nice protective hard carrying case for the camera, screen, accessories and there is also room for a second camera if needed. My first impression even before first use is of a great product as Camera and Screen look to be of a very high quality and don’t look cheap like many of the security cameras I have used, both are made of a solid plastic.I connected the screen to one of the included AC USB power adapters to charge the internal battery, as it is recommended to charge for 7 hours before first use. Charge will last 22 hours.Once the screen was fully charged, I connected the camera to another of the included AC USB power adapters making sure it is not in the same room as the screen not to have feedback audio. On top of the screen is the power button and once I turned on the screen it immediately connected to the camera which was about 20 feet away and I had a perfect image with audio of what was happening in that room.On the front of the screen is a zoom button that allows two zoom levels, a navigation pad that allows panning Left/Right and Up/Down and also menu button to access all the features available. Pressing once opens the Menu and the Navigation buttons are used to access and configure features.- Lullabies: Off, 5 Lullabies, plus birds, ocean and white noise- Voice Activation: Off, Low, Med and High- Monitor Brightness: 8 Levels- Viewing Mode: 1 or 2 Cameras- Camera Pairing: Add Camera here- Settings: 11 options, Temperature, Clock, Language, Timer, Alert, LED, Night Vision, Invert Camera Image, Support and ResetThere is also a Mic button to talk with other person in the room. This is used by a parent to communicate with a baby, which I tested with my spouse. Press Mic Button to talk and depress to listen. On the back of the screen is a built in Metal Stand to support and view screen and a speaker to hear audio. On the right side of the screen is the Audio Volume +/- button with 8 levels and the Micro-USB charging port.On the screen itself is a crystal clear image from the Camera with a bar above the image with Wireless Connection Strength, Time, Sound Level, Temperature, Camera Number (1 or 2) and Battery Level.Camera Buttons and Functions:- Antenna- Temperature- Micro-USB Power Port- Speaker- IR Sensor- Microphone- Camera Lens- Camera Pairing- Power LEDThis is very easy to Setup, Configure and Use as once Screen and Camera are connected they immediately work together. I only had to do some configuration to set time and try out the different features. What is great is there is no need for a WiFi router as everything is builtin for security and only you have access to the Camera with the Screen.Features:- No WiFi needed- 720P HD PTZ Camera- 5” 720P HD Monitor- 22 Hours Battery Life- Upto 1000ft Range- Premium Carrying Case- Two Way Talk- Night Vision- Comes with 2 Additional Power Cables and AC USB Power Adapters. (Total of 4 each)The only thing I would add to this Screen/Camera product is the possibility of having a memory card to record 24/7 from 1 or 2 cameras. This is a well designed and easy to use Canadian made product that does a great job of securely monitoring your baby.

    nice camera
This baby monitor has great video quality, including in low light and complete darkness thanks to its good night vision. It has good two way communication, which is great for interacting with your child from anywhere in the house, and it has an impressive range and long battery life. It comes with a hard carrying case, and the secure local connection doesn’t need WiFi or internet, which is really nice. However, it can’t record video, as there’s no memory card slot or cloud recording option, which is unfortunate.

What a great system. Definitely ticks all of the boxes.
Of course quality is a very important thing, but for me the first thing that I looked at on every baby camera I looked at was no Wi-Fi, no bluetooth and no app. Too many horror stories. Well, the Levana Ella met all of these criteria, so great start!Next, picture quality is excellent. It’s not 4K, but it is a very good quality picture even at 720p. I’m not making cinematic movies, so that quality is more than adequate. It’s just as good with night vision. In fact I was blown away by the night vision. It is really good.Next, the range on it is great. We live in a bit of a quirky house where even our wireless has a couple of dead-zones, but the signal transmits over a very long distance, everywhere in our house, even in the dead-zones.The battery on the camera goes forever. Well OK, not forever, but I don’t need to charge it more than once every few days. It’s great. Finally, I love the 2-camera system. We only have one right now, but when we have our next one, it’s going to be great to be able to set up both cameras in separate places to keep an eye on both of the munchkins. This is a great system!

Amazing home CCTV system for the privacy-conscious parent
This is really a full-fledged home CCTV system. Writing it off as a mere baby monitor is almost doing it a disservice, although it is a great baby monitor. With two cameras, two-way communication with the base unit, great range, and NO sketchy Internet-of-Things connectivity – what’s not to like? You can do a lot from the base unit. From checking in on the cameras (you can have one or both connected) and their audio feeds, to using the two-way communication feature, to auto-playing a lullaby from the camera’s speakers. And they can be set to be voice-activated. And if that weren’t enough, you can spin the camera up, down, and all around from the base unit, to see basically a full 360 view of the room. And it has night vision, too.Everything just works, and I mean that in the best way. The cameras automatically pair with the base unit when they’re plugged in. The base unit has a really good internal battery, but it can also be plugged in. The base unit also has a little kickstand, and there’s mounting hardware included, if you want to attach the cameras and/or base somewhere more permanent. The build quality is legit. It all comes in a nice luggable case, and it comes with ALL the cables and adapters you’ll need. Including some Intertek safety-rated USB power bricks. Neat! And I can’t express how happy I was to not have to sign up for another stupid account to use this device. It’s all local. Unhackable, they say. Yeah… frankly that’s a ridiculous claim. But “orders of magnitude safer” would certainly be appropriate. Especially because it’d require some idiot to physically creep around your house to even have the possibility of hacking it. Which, at that point, I think you’d have bigger problems. So for the privacy-conscious parent with young ones they’d like to keep an eye on, this might just be a no-brainer purchase. I could even see some other legitimate uses, like for checking in on 3D printers, or for use as a simple home intercom system. The range is really good. Think better than most WiFi routers. And it doesn’t matter if you’re nearly out of range – as long as you’re still in range, you’ll get a decent signal. And it gives you connection bars, too. The 1000-foot range claim is also pretty ridiculous in practice. But for most people, I don’t think you’ll have any issues installing these anywhere throughout your house.

We are beyond impressed with the Levana Ella Video Monitor. It is a baby monitor, but it can serve much more. The picture is crystal clear, nearly pristine. The sound quality is excellent for the most part (unless the kids are being loud and the toys are making noise, too). I love that the camera monitor rotates, and it does so at a steady pace. The preset sounds and music is a lovely touch. It’s an excellent system worth investing in in!

This was easy to use and set up. I like that it does not need the internet or an app to run and the battery lasts for a long time. The display is quite nice, and it also has good sound quality too. I love that it turns on when to baby wakes or makes noises. My only wish is that it came with better mounting systems.

Pros:Clear imagesNight mode is still very visibleNo stress setupNo wifi connectionCons:No easy mounting system includedRange is exaggeratedI ordered this camera while hunting for the best option for my household. This won’t be the only camera used in my household, but it is likely to be my go-to travel camera option.Setting up this camera is about as simplistic as they come. With the Wi-Fi-free design you don’t have to worry about connecting to any networks or securing anything. It is worth noting that this camera is designed to function from a flat surface like a table or shelf. It does not include an easy mounting system and I would highly recommend securing it in some way to wherever you plan on having it placed so that it doesn’t get bumped. The image quality is surprisingly good for a camera in this price range. I was very pleased with how clear the view is and how easy it was to watch on the screen. Additionally, I love that I only have to charge the monitor once every two or three days with my usage schedule as opposed to some options that require recharging multiple times a day.My only significant complaint is that the alleged “up to 1000 feet” range is wildly exaggerated. Every single wall that the signal has to pass through greatly diminishes the range. So claiming 1000 feet is only true if you’re in the middle of nowhere, with zero obstructions, walking away from the camera on a flat plane. Keep this in mind if the range is very important to you. It is worth noting that it does work in every room of my home, but my nursery is centrally located.Overall, I would recommend this camera as a great option for live viewing that has an exceptionally easy setup. This is not the camera for someone looking for all the bells and whistles, but it’s a great option for someone on the go or who just needs to keep an eye on things while also keeping an eye on the monitor.

We really love this baby monitor. It has two cameras that you can either have in different rooms if you move your baby back and forth, or obviously two cameras on the baby at one time, or really on anything. We put ours in two different rooms for when we move her from one place to another. However, you can turn the camera off and move it and turn it back on and it reconnects automatically and easily, so they can really go anywhere. You can choose to set temperature limits and other alarms so that you know if it’s too cold or too warm in the room where your baby is. There is two way communication and we found that the audio is very clear but not too loud, and the microphone seems to be directional on the camera so it will pick up your baby making noises very well but doesn’t capture as much as the ambient noise as you might think with a wider microphone. We found this to be a useful feature and really liked it. Since it’s rechargeable, it’s portable and comes in a great case. It does use the older USB connections for charging but comes with all the cords that you need. Great monitor for the price!

I wanted something outside of what’s trending right now or seems to be the “popular go-to” baby monitor. I was attracted to this initially because it advertises it is unhackable. But also because we travel a lot and wanted something hassle-free that didn’t need an app or Wi-Fi. This is just it. This is the one. The quality is pretty great and the tilting views is even better. I get to keep an eye on my little one without hassles and stress. I LOVE this thing and the price isn’t too bad either!
