The quality of the lambskin used in these earpads is excellent. It’s supple and silky smooth. There is no detectable chemical odor, and the thickness of the hide is a perfect balance between durability and comfort.The instructions that come with the earpad replacement kit includes a note that informs the customer that the pads might take some getting used to, and that they will feel different to the original Bose ear pads. Well, all I can say is, thank goodness. The default Bose synthetic leather pads might well be allowing the company to reach the Vegan market, but it completely compromises the comfort and durability of their NC700 product. The stock earpad material does not breath, making it not suitable for humid climates, IMHO. Being petroleum-based, the ultra-thin faux leather covering begins to break down quickly (1 year), in contact with sweat and skin oil. Overall, the default earpads that come with the NC700 unit are the weak links in an otherwise decent headset.My first experience trying on the NC700 with the new earpads installed was a bit of a revelation. It completely transformed my listening experience and comfort. The new earpads got rid of the gummy vinyl feel of the former faux leather pads. Also, I’m not sure if it’s my imagination or not but the headphones feel noticeably lighter on my head. I attribute this not so much to the physical weight difference as the “feeling” of lightness, due to the way that cup rather than smother your ears.The earpads arrived quickly, despite coming from offshore. The kit included the ear pads, cloth L and R inserts, excellent instructions, and even a small guitar pick-shaped tool for popping the pads off. The pads clicked into place perfectly, and the cloth speaker cover inserts were an exact fit with my Bose 700s.This was my first purchase from this supplier, but I plan to look for other products offered by them. They win on price point, quality, clarity of instructions, transparency, speed of delivery via Amazon, and going beyond merely replacing one component with another.I rarely review items on Amazon and, admittedly am a bit of a hypocrite for not contributing to a review system that I rely on frequently when choosing which products to purchase on the site. But in this case, I felt compelled to publicly commend the supplier for providing me with a truly outstanding experience.

Comfortable and better than original ones
They are more comfortable than my cracking old original ones. They come with a guitar pick like item and a little twisting pops the old ones off. Be very careful taking the screens R&L off, many sticky black foam tapes, one on each side is not to be removed as it is sticking down wires. Removing the tape was 5 minutes. All the rest was maybe 3 minutes.The sound proofing is better if not the same.I would highly recommend.

Good alternative!
As others have said:+installation was a breeze using the plastic little tool they provide.+They are slightly firmier than the OEM’s, but I think this a plus.-The color is a bit off. More on the light gray side than silver (see picture). That’s the only reason I took one star off…Just hoping they last a solid two years like the originals…

Just installed these in and so far it feels great and works great not sure how long it will last but should outlast OEMs. well worth the money. Comes with all you need, 2 pads, 2 screens if you do need to change them, plastic pick to take old pads off, nice pictorial instructions.

These are a great replacement ear pads for the NC 700’s.The original ear pads started to flake away. This is a great option for replacement as being real leather they will not do this. Also just a comfortable to wear.There is no loss of sound and the noise isolation continues to work as before.

Der Versand aus den USA nach Deutschland verlief ohne Probleme und dauerte etwa eine Woche.Die Ohrpolster sind aus Lammleder gefertigt und passen optimal auf den NC 700 Kopfhörer. Alles sitzt fest. Die Verarbeitung ist wirklich gut. Die Nähte an den Polstern sind etwas besonderes und sind gut gemacht. Außen ist das Leder ordentlich verklebt. Der innenliegende Schaumstoff fühlt sich beim Aufsetzen etwas härter an als beim Bose Original, was aber nicht weiter als Nachteil empfunden wird. Die Funktion des ANC wird meines Erachtens nach sogar noch weiter verbessert. Die Klangqualität bleibt auf dem gleichem Niveau. Man schwitzt bei längerem Hören überhaupt nicht mehr unter diesen Postern. Alles in allem eine lohnenswerte Alternative zu den originalen Bose Ohrpolstern für den NC 700.

These replacement earpads are really high quality. They fit the Bose NC 700 perfectly and very comfortable. Importantly, these are real leather so they shouldn’t peel like protein leather earpads in hot and humid weather.
