I’ve gone through 5 sets of JLab Pops and figured I’d give these to go. They work well so far. They’re cheap enough that I’m not too concerned with damaging or losing them and they work better than my $90 sound cores. I will continue to buy these as needed.

These fit my ears really well without discomfort or the feeling to readjust it time to time. The preinstalled medium ear tips were the right size to get a good seal against my ears for good audio sound and good passive sound isolation before active noise cancellation is even enabled.Active noise cancelling is quite good, but not surprisingly doesn’t match the ANC from some higher end earbuds I’ve used. With these I like it around 50 to 60%. Starting around 90% is where it starts to mess with my senses. The preset JLabs signature EQ setting is nice. It suits what I like and haven’t played with the custom EQ setting so far. Bass boost does bump the bass up. Again like at the start of the review and from another pair of earbuds I reviewed getting the eartips to seal is very important to get any good sound and have ANC working. I’m wondering if that could be part of the reason another reviewer didn’t seem to notice any sound changes trying the EQ settings and a lacking ANC.Battery life I was able to get the just over 7 hour usage with ANC off in movie mode purely relying on the passive sound isolation. Obviously expect a shorter battery life with ANC on.System notification voice volume. She is loud. There’s a lot of adjustable settings including setting volume limits but no way to adjust the system voice volume. I could be listening to things comfortably at around 18% while connected to my computer and the system voice is much louder than that.Being able to adjust all the possible touch controls on either side of the buds is a very nice plus that one could even set them all to none to “disable” any taps and long press touches. The translucent teal color is a fun nostalgia feeling from growing up in the 90s with my clear alarm clock and Atomic purple GBC. Of course there are some drawbacks with the transparent/translucent case is the LEDs in the charging case and earbuds will be much brighter and possibly distracting (like the earbuds charging in the case in a dark room) than the solid color options.Reviewed with firmware version V_0.0.2.1.

I’m always going through earbuds since they help me concentrate in noisy environments here on campus. I have been trying these JLab Go Pop ANC True Wireless Earbuds for the past two weeks, and I’m sorta mixed on them.I do like the sound… I listen to a fair bit of reggae/dub, electronica and audiobooks so there’s a range of material I’ve been listening to. Bass response is fine; I don’t tend to push to have deep bass thumping in my ears, but I’m finding the midrange to be a tad lacking. If I use an equalizer, I can boost it to a better presence, but it’s something that you’ll need to adjust for your own hearing profiles. The case and battery life is great for a day… with occasional use during a day, I can easily get a full day out of these. The ANC is acceptable. I’m glad it’s there but it’s definitely not as responsive as my Sony XM4 earbuds. My biggest issue is with the charging cable. As part of the earbud case design, there is a short embedded USB-C cable in place. It seems cool but it’s been awkward to use since every charger I use is tucked out of the way so I can just have a cable for attachment; but with this setup, you need a charger right beside you since the cord is only a couple inches long. Sure, I can plug them into my laptop, but it’s oddly been something that I’ve been adjusting to.For the price, these are a value. The translucent plastic case and earbuds are fine, have decent sound and battery life. If you can get used to the short charge cable, these are a great knock-around set of earbuds!

These are great cheaper pair of Bluetooth earphones, but have one glaring flaw in my opinion that make them 4 stars instead of 5. The flaw is the charging method. These earbuds do not have a charging port. Instead, it comes with a ~1.5 inch long USB-C cable integrated into the case itself. I assume the intention was that most people would be charging these earbuds using maybe their laptop USB-C port? If you don’t have a laptop handy, or portable power bank, then charging these becomes cumbersome.Take an example where you are traveling for the weekend (I would assume this would be an ideal usage case for earbuds like these!!). You normally would bring a charger with you, some sort of power brick or something like that to plug into the hotel outlet. Since these earbuds don’t have a USB-C female port, you can’t use your power brick and cables to charge them. If your power brick has a USB-C female port, you can plug the earbuds into them, but because the integrated charging cable is SO short, the case ends up dangling awkwardly off your charging brick. Very odd design choice here.Sound wise, I found the earbuds to be very bassy but all in all sound pretty good. Comfort wise, I found these to be top notch. They fit in my ear very comfortably and securely. The clear teal case is awesome and very reminiscent of the old clear Nintendo controllers/consoles. Pairing was super simple – as soon as you take the earbuds out they go into pairing mode and my phone found them right away. I just wish it had a regular female charging port!

These are a beautiful teal especially when the case lights up. The case feels solid, not a cheap plastic. The top hinge works well, not loose or flimsy. Because it is transparent, you can see all the inner workings. The charging cable is attached but very short which limits where I can charge them unless I order an adapter. They sound good out of the box, not great, but I used the burn-in tool and the equalizer which fixed sound issues and now they do sound great. At first, I was attempting to compare them to a big-name brand I own that cost twice as much which is unfair. These JLab earbuds have so much more than the other brand including multipoint, burn-in, and ANC. I get up to 5 hours of listening time on a single charge when using multipoint and up to 7 hours when connecting to a single device. These earbuds can also connect to all your devices using Google automatically which can be a bit annoying when I am working across 3 different devices, and it keeps prompting me to connect to a different device. I find it hard to dismiss that prompt without turning off the Bluetooth that I might need on for something else. Overall, I recommend these because you get a lot of value from all the features.
