I was able to make returns on my own that were at least as good as those of the experts, and usually better. Nobody cares about my money as much as I do. My money is therefore safer with me controlling it. The simpler the approach, the better the returns, and the more enjoyable the process.
If you are looking for a guide to understanding a wide variety of market terminology and investing options, as well as an academic study of the inner workings of the market, this book is not for you.
Investing 101 is, instead, a bare-bones, cut-to-the chase, straight-to-the-point, simple path to accumulating wealth through the markets. My critics seem to believe my method is too simple. All I know is that it works.
It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner, neophyte, or even a “dummy”, you can still make good money in the markets.

I was expecting to read about 101 Investing ideas, but not, it talks about stocks and etfs only, info that is ok but I have already read in other books.

Messages For The Soul –
I have been putting off investing for far too long and now it is something that I simply must start doing or I am going to be in a world of hurt later down the road. One of the reasons that I have put it off was fear of something that I didn’t really understand. I have just finished reading author Matthew Barnes’ “Investing 101” and he puts the art of investing into simple language and took the mystery out of the practice for me once and for all. I thought that this was going to be another full-time job for me and that fallacy was laid to rest as well. There are some great tips in this book and I am already putting many of these practices to work for me and my future. A happy customer.

! I think this book should part of the curriculum in high schools to “soon to graduating” teens so they can get a handle on finances from a smart age, I wish I had this kind of book when I was young. There are so many wonderful tips and hints in this book and I will be using a lot of them now. I love how down to earth the author seems, he’s not all the stuffy, stuck up business man type, he seems very likeable someone you could sit down and chat with over coffee or a beer. I think the feeling that he portrays helps make this book a very easy read and you feel confident in your abilities to use the information he has conveyed. Thank you Mr. Barnes for taking the time to write this great resource for all of us that struggle with understanding investments, you have cleared up a lot of the smoke and mirrors for us.
