Good battery, annoying linking process, but functional for purpose and easy once linked.
I often find I need to monitor situations temporarily for convenience (ie, a package I expect or just to keep tabs on my senior dog) where I would not want to have it out permanently (partially for my own privacy concerns with cloud connected cameras). This hits a really sweet spot, as I can set it up, the battery will last quite some time, and then I can tuck it away when it’s not in need. Also has a physical off switch which is easy to access, so that’s very nice. The input access is actually really nice – though a heads up, if you need to retain this for evidentiary purposes or something, that does mean it’s just as easy to get at for whomever or whatever you may be trying to monitor.The setup process for this camera was… painful. It works by having the app (on your phone) display a QRcode, which you then need to hold in front of the camera, and once it deigns you have pleased it, willfinally connect. This took me like 20 minutes, because if it detects a ‘corrupt’ QR code or otherwise getsconfused that you showed it something else, it seems that it must be rebooted and reset to try again. Perhapsthis saves money on WIFI/BT communication, but it’s very irritating. Once it *does* connect, though – it’s very easy to use. The app is quite generic, standard ‘inexpensive unbranded security camera’ design. I’m quite confident it’s just one that a seller purchases and gets tweaked for their product over something entirely unique. In any case, it works well enough.There are some caveats regarding its features:- It would seem you simply cannot use the normal picture mode in the dark. I suppose one wouldn’t want to, but yea, it will automatically turn on IR mode and go greyscale. Oddly, it seems possible to force IR mode, even when it is light. Left alone, the unit will automatically move between the two, which is nice if you intend to leave it unattended.- Its reconnection once the connection is lost (temporary, ie, you lost WIFI on your phone) is somewhat slow, it’s not the fastest one I’ve seen among these low cost security cameras.- Image quality is very much that classic security camera look, even flipped to its higher res. The app differentiates these as “SD” and “HD” which is a bit curious. However, the output image is a fairly high pixel count, so possibly this is just an oversight. The quality itself doesn’t seem too improved though, so I’m not 100% convinced it doesn’t just upsize the lower res.- The battery is quite long lasting, I left it on several hours and it still had plenty of juice.- The motion detection seems… iffy. I had it turned on, and didn’t get any alerts even during the included video; however, this may also be due to the fact I had the app actively open and viewing at the time.- Stand is very difficult to get off once it’s on. Not so bad, given it’s still quite small and the camera’s use without it is more limited.The only other thing I find really odd with this, and somewhat annoying, given how the standard has shifted for some time now – it’s MicroUSB. Why? The ports are almost identical in size, and I can’t imagine it’s *that* much cheaper to use Micro… Hopefully if they make an updated version, it’ll be type-c.Anyhow, it does the job and I don’t mind the quality. The battery makes for a very quick and simple setup (once linked – that’s the painful part) for monitoring, without obligations to go drilling or renovating to accomodate. This is a great little wifi camera for $23 wow.It has many features you would find in high end cameras, motion detection, alarm notifications, an app to view motion detection and live. 2 way voice, its also 2k resolution, night mode.It is powered by USB-c cable.This is a great camera in this price range.

Great Option while Traveling with Kids!
This is a relatively small battery-operated camera that can be permanently mounted or left mountless. We did not mount ours as we have permanently installed cameras in our nursery, and this comes with us whenever we travel with our toddler. The app includes a trial amount of cloud storage, or you can purchase a memory card, which is what we did. The app was relatively easy to link to the device after a few attempts, and it is overall pretty functional for a small camera. It works perfectly well for our purposes, which is having an option to monitor our toddler while sleeping when traveling – it’s small so it’s easy to pack up and bring along with us. I’m happy with it and would recommend.

Not a true HD picture, but still VERY usable. Kinda impressed.
Really like that you can set the sensitivity for humanoid detection in the app since the detection wasn’t quite up to my standards out of the box. The camera itself isn’t exactly tiny, and if you’re going to be using it up high for a prolonged period of time, I strongly recommend mounting it using the screws. Otherwise, you can just go mount-less and hide it where you want.Very much a proponent of using micro-SD cards with all security cams since networks can fail, and since this one doesn’t come with one, just make sure you have one on hand. A U3 64Gb or higher would be my recommendation and it’s best to use the app to format the card. But be aware that the slot is easily accessible from the back, so if someone were to find the cam, they could easily pop it out. It’s not waterproof either so indoor use only.Very decent settings overall, and the picture is super usable for a quasi-HD image, although the sound on the mic is a bit lackluster. BUT the IR night mode is actually decent for a cam this size. Super happy about that because my intention with this thing was to film animals skulking around my front door (with success). I have several game cams that I use outdoors, but this is essentially the indoor version.Overall, having it set to motion sensing exclusively has barely run down the battery over the last few days so the battery life seems good. Of course, you can have it plugged in all the time so it never dies if you prefer, but that kinda defeats the purpose of it being hidden. Just follow the cable! lol For the price, I’ve yet to encounter a better camera. 4.5/5 stars from me.

I’ve had this camera for a while, and it’s held up pretty well. It is portable, easy to maneuver, and compact to place anywhere.I would recommend this camera because the setup was extremely easy to do, and the sim card is included, so you can use it right away. The battery on the camera lasts a long time once charged, so essentially, you can set it and forget for a good while. I’m really impressed with the focus and the picture of the video. The vision is clear even at night, and the cam detects motion immediately from pets or people.This camera has been a game changer for keeping an eye on my children and giving me peace of mind when we’re all out of the home because you can watch live feed or check the storage. I like that the audio and picture are clear so that the footage is reliable. This was a good one.
