Absolutely fantastic!
A real smoothie master, I’d say! Regardless of the comments from other reviewers of this item, this works great. I didn’t find it too noisy at all. If you are crushing ice, add a little water to help the ice crush and from time to time use a spatula to help push the ice down and it works well. I just made a Blueberry-Banana Smoothie for myself to try it out and I can honestly say I am happy with it. It turned out pretty well and was very tasty. I have no problems with it whatsoever and I don’t understand what the issue with this is. It works the same as any blender. All you need to do is follow the instruction manual and it does have one.

Okay for the price but not the sharpest.
The price is okay. The product didn’t do fine chopping

Perfect for a single person looking to have a small but efficient product.
It says on the specifications that it crushes almost anything including ice but it doesn’t really crush ice. It tries really hard but then the motor starts to smell like burning so I never go all the way. But for everything else, it works perfectly well.

Not the greatest
Good for the price but not the best product.Pros:- Good Build Quality, big jar made of thick durable glass- Doesn’t take much of counter space- With some manual intervention can do most jobsCons:- Too loud- Not very efficient, even if you load either jar with pre-chopped ingredients..the blades keep whirling at the bottom and the rest of the stuff in the jar doesnt move. You have to move things around with a spoon or knife and give it a few runs to get the whole jar content to get going.- Smothies also give the above mentioned trouble and even after the manual input the end product is not very consistent.- The smaller jar also doesn’t do a fine job for making pastes or chutnies at home.In the end it gets the job done but not the best job and is a bit of a hassle. Which is why I give it a 3 star.

Buy at your own risk!
I am giving two stars because I have been able to use the blender for the past six months, but it has been a struggle. The blender does not blend well because the blade does not properly connect with the food, even for soft items like fruits for smoothies. I would not even recommend it as a smoothie maker. You have to chop things into smaller bits before they can be blended.

I noticed that many of the reviews in this section are actually for different blender models and possibly other manufacturers which makes no sense to me so here goes my review for specific Hamilton Beach 54210 blender model. My blender finally gave up the ghost after many years of torture so I decided to get this Hamilton Beach 54210 model since all I was looking for was a basic blender. This is absolutely the BEST blender I ever owned hands down at this price point (I may buy a second). Not sure what other miracles real expensive blenders perform but for my general purposes this does everything I can possibly imagine to want a blender to do at 800 watts – does it relatively quietly with a strong motor – has a smart gear box that sits nice and tight in the base – has a heavy duty glass jar not some cheap plastic jar – has a top that goes on easily and stays tight when blending – and even has a cool Self Clean option. Honestly if this thing lasts the 3 years covered by manufacturer’s warranty it’ll pay for itself 10x over. Highly recommended – give this a first try before going and spending 100’s of dollars on gimmicky blenders.

I was going to get an expensive Ninja until I came across this. I don’t normally drink smoothies so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a blender. This blender is not the easiest to clean ( I don’t think any of them are) but IT GETS THE JOB DONE! Frozen fruits, fresh veggies, ice cubes, protein powders etc…it blends great! Just make sure you add enough liquid to the mixture, if you don’t you’ll think its broken…it’s not, just add more water.

Seems like a decent power for the bucks paid!
