Keeps practise sessions on track
I love this book, I have been taking guitar lessons for a year and since using this book my at home practise sessions are more focused and I am kept on track. My music teacher loves it as well—he stops the lesson 5 minutes early so we can fill out the practise pages. He recommebnded this book to a few of his other students and parents of students.

This is a brilliant little resource which is useful not just for improving guitar skills. Bought it for my husband and so impressed I bought another for myself

Had the instructors I used provided something like this, they’d probably still be employed by me. The unstructured, unplanned lessons without asking the relevant questions led to my dropping them. If you’re not 16, you have to ask yourself at some point “why am I even doing this?”First, let’s address some other reviews… there is no religious propaganda in this book. I haven’t read every word, but almost all of it, and nope. Nada.Second, this is not billed as providing songs/tablature, and alas, this is none. Nor did I expect any. What this is a similar system to Franklin Covey planners, only far less expensive. And, of course, guitar-focused.It’s well laid out with the right questions that a person should be asking themselves and re-evaluating every three months. It has the right components for what a person should be doing weekly/daily, and there’s one two-page sheet for every week of the year. So it’s a planner. But you can also look back and see your journey; what you wanted to achieve and why. And most importantly, what you actually achieved. So it’s a journal.I think I’m going to buy four more so I can look back five years from now and see if I met my long-range goals.

Starting to play guitar is easy and fun. To keep going is much more complicated. This nice little book is helping to stay motivated and make a dream to become true (more or less). Especially for those people who don’t like teachers. Thanks Luke for your great work.

This Guitar journal is so good as it gives you a push to ask you the deep questions regarding your personal goals in where you want to take your guitar playing. This journal helps you create and come up with your own structured practice times. Definitely recommend this journal if that is your style in learning/practice.
