There’s something kinda beautiful about this pot. Seriously. I’ve had several guests comment about it. It’s got a handle ya just want to hold, the design looks stout and… ahh… well I’d call it: inviting, reliable, friendly…? Whatever it is, this is more than just a little pot to heat some soup in. It’s downright good looking and… remarkable (as evidenced by many of my noticing it and spontaneously commenting on it). Yeah, its got charisma. 🙂

This beautiful pan now looks cheap an old after less than a year with very little use. I contacted Greenpan and this was their response:Chipping is a natural occurrence with Ceramic Non-stick.Chipping up to 1 to 2 mm is a perfectly normal occurrence because Ceramic coatings are very hard – i.e. in the same way as Porcelain Ceramics are hard but not very flexible. Secondly, unlike with PTFE coatings, Thermolon does not require any chemical adhesive primer to stick to the pan. Thermolon’s adhesion relies solely on roughening the pan’s surface before the coating is applied, which creates a natural lock and key adhesion.Any imperfections, such as chipping, are considered a reflection of the hardness of Ceramic coatings and not having to rely on chemicals for adhesion. As the product remains perfectly safe for use if it chips, it does not require a replacement. At this price point this is unacceptable. I would note that the fry pans which have been used much more often have no such chipping.I would not purchase if aesthetics matter to you.

I’ve been very impressed with how easy it is to cook with this pot and how quickly the food cooks. It’s very easy to clean and feels solid. When you hold it, it feels like a good quality pan. The only thing that kept me from marking it as a five star review is that I’ve already started to notice some chipping along the top of the pot and I only use wooden and silicone cooking utensils so I’m assuming the chipping is from the lid. The nonstick layer seems to be coming off along the top a bit from the chipping so I’m hoping it doesn’t cause it to peel into the pot over time.

At first glance, I thought this saucepan was priced high for its two quart size. I’m glad I took the time to look more closely. If you know the pain of realizing your nonstick pot or pan was ruined by someone using metal utensils, you’ll appreciate that the GreenPan is metal utensil safe. Not having to replace cookware because its non-stick coating is ruined could equal out to be a money saver. GreenPan’s advanced coating frees it from use only on the stove top too. The saucepan is safe to 600° F in the oven and broiler and is optimized for performance on all stovetops, including induction. Because the coating is free of bad stuff like PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium, concerns that an overheated pan could release toxins is eliminated. The GreenPan’s durable ceramic nonstick surface and heavy-gauge hard anodized body for tells years of use in the roughest of kitchens. For my small household of three adults, it is proving perfect for everyday home cooking needs. Plus, as I’ve become more familiar with its versatility, it is the obvious choice to take when RVing too. I recommend it for it being tough, ready to clean and its above average heating ability.

Started chipping on its own after two washes. Nothing to do with cooking tools or the dishwasher sponge. Just chips on its own. Horrible, bad quality coating. Same thing happened to the frying pan version on this line. Very disappointing considering the price.
