A+
Out of the box, yes, it looks small – however, it holds a lot because of its vertical height. I use this indispensable pot multiple times in a weekly basid as it makes a perfect 1 cup of rice. This pot has heft and it feels & looks as if it should cost $200. Clean up is super easy, almost effortless. Thank you once again Jeff Bezos.—6month review:After 6 months of using & scrubbing this pot everyday its holding up perfectly. So well that I want to purchase another.

Works with my portable Duxtop stovetop. Handle did not get hot.
This is induction friendly and worked very well with my 1800W Duxtop stovetop.I only boiled something for about 10 minutes, but the handle did not get hot at all during that time. The saucepan does come with a red rubber handle cover if it does get hot, but I didn’t need it at all. I think if you put this saucepan fully in an oven, that’s when you’ll need to be careful with the handle. The handle cover is nice, I think it’s a bit big for the handle however it doesn’t slide around the handle when you grip it so it’s safe to use when lifting the saucepan if it’s hot and heavy.Overall I am very happy with this saucepan, it is way better than any other I can get at this pricepoint at a big box store.

Heavy bottom, good all purpose size, excellent for sauces.
This is a durable pot with heavy enough bottom to withstand the ultimate test, which for me, is béchamel sauce. The pot performed well, no scalding of milk or cream – turned out the perfect sauce and washed up in a snap. I love to cook, but have a small kitchen, therefore, every pot, dish and appliance must EARN it space in the cupboard. I love this pot, the glass top is so convenient for checking on simmering liquids and I fully recommend it in this size as a go-to all purpose pot for anyone’s kitchen. Thanks Chef’s Choice!

Good Pot, Great Value
I bought 2 different sizes, and they are great – a nice weight, with increments marked on the inside. The glass lids fit well. They clean easily, but the bottom has a peculiar pattern ‐ never have seen it before, but it isn’t objectionable, nor does it affect the cooking properties. I’m quite satisfied, especially for the price.

Excellent quality. Excellent price.
This pot exceeded my expectations for the price. The thick bottom keeps it steady. The internal Litre markings are brilliant, from .5L to 2.0L for easy reference. The lid has no steam hole in it which has kept me from buying many other brands as steam is necessary for cooking many things, especially rice and stews. It gives me the choice to reduce a sauce when I am ready to do so. I have been searching for this within my budget for a long time.Overall I highly recommend this pot.

good quality
We got this pan for emergencies as the dimensions would allow it to sit on the top of our wood burning stove. Pan was exactly as advertised. I am now using it regularly on the regular stove. Heat distribution is good, pan is easy to clean and its a good pan overall. I would not hesitate to buy more of this brand.

This is a high quality sauce pan. I generally cook with cast iron and this pan captures many of the properties of my old cast iron cookware. It has weight to it, but is lighter than a similarly sized cast iron pot, it heats evenly and retains heat well. I cook on an induction cook top and this pan heats up instantly and boils a cup of cold water in less than a minute. The handle stays cool enough to not need a pot holder which is a nice improvement over my cast iron. So far it has been easy to clean but I haven’t looked overcooked anything in it yet. The only reason i didnt give it 4 stars is that my cooktop is very loud with this pan. With cast iron, you can barely hear the magnets humming, but with this pan, you can hear it loud and clear from across the room and at the lower heat setting the noise is high pitched. I have gotten used to it now, but it is a little obnoxious at first. I have 3 sizes of this pan and all three could get this same review. I like them enough that i plan to get a few more sizes as well.

This is a well made pan that works perfectly on my Induction Range (Samsung). The plan cleans up easily and look great. The lid fits on the pan perfectly and has become a regularly used pan. The outside diameter of the bottom of the pan is 5.5″ and works on any of my Induction “burners”. The handle does NOT get hot when used on an Induction stove.

I’m a serious cook. My small (1 quart) covered Revere sauce pot’s cover lost its knob/handle after 40 good years of use and countless runs through the dishwasher. I thought that it would be a simple task to locate a replacement online, but I was wrong. No matter the brand and the cost range, I could not locate an adequate replacement. Even the premium brands had some serious negative criticisms. Then I stumbled onto GOURMEX and decided to give it a shot. I was not familiar with the brand and assumed that it was European given the measurements in liters. I have been extremely pleased with the product thus far and would seriously consider replacing my bigger pots with this brand’s offerings as needed. My best cooking pots and pans are the original copper bottomed Revere offerings as well as some German offerings that I was lucky to obtain while living in Southeast Asia. That German firm no longer makes pots and pans. The ‘new’ Revere offerings don’t hold up. GOURMEX appears to be a cut above the popular current offerings and boasts very attractive pricing.

I thought I was purchasing a pot that was brand new. As soon as I opened the box the outside and inside of the pot had food remaining like someone had not cleaned it before sending it back. Quality control is Very Questionable. Otherwise, the pot and lid looked great and would like to have a replacement, without the free food.

We have two similar pots, both with more ‘normal’ handles; flat metal pieces attached by two rivets. They sometimes get warm, but I have been grabbing them with bare hands for years immediately after cooking without issue. This pot’s handle is round and hollow, like a tunnel, and seems almost like it’s designed to channel the hot air that’s coming up from the stove through the handle, over as much surface area of metal as possible, heating it extremely quickly. The first time I used this pot I went to grab the handle with my hand immediately after turning off the flame and noticed it was hot enough to cause a burn. I had to grab an oven mitt to pull it off the stove and pour it into the strainer.Other than that, performance has been fine. We’ve been using it for months and the handle has not loosened. Finish still looks perfect, after 2-3 trips through the dishwasher each week. It seems solidly made and transfers heat as effectively as our existing pots.We will probably replace this soon with a pot that has a handle that remains cool.
