I cannot afford hexclad brand, so this was my version of a hexclad…let me tell you, this is the BEST skillet I have used, it is truly non stick and I use it for everything now

looks pretty but thin and poorly made. Attaching handle to pan with hex screw is not practical for daily use. Also mine came with sharp wire on the pan where you screw the handle. Be careful .

Pretty much as described, although I do wish it was a little bit bigger. It looks like it was measurement is the outside diameter as opposed to the inside diameter. And since the sides are sloped, the cooking surface is about 10″. It works great, heats up evenly, and It really is nonstick, but it’s not Teflon nonstick. This skillet is old school in the fact that the directions on the pan say to heat and oil prior to use (season). Also make sure you wash AND dry it first. I use a little oil during cooking, not Pam, or any spray because the chemicals in the sprays are not good for your pans. I just use a little Olive oil or Canola, depending what I’m cooking. The handle is great, and stays cool to the touch. The only other thing is, i wish it had a lid. Not a deal breaker for me, i have a lid that fits it, and third party lids are available fairly cheap, but keep that in mind. Overall this is quality, sturdy, easy to use skillet.

This pan is not even close to being non-stick and it’s an absolute pain to clean. The cooking surface is covered in a small hexagon pattern…but it’s not flat!!! Each of the hexagons is a “groove” in the surface, so food gets stuck in the groove. To make matters even worse, inside each hexagon is a cluster of pimply bumps. So instead of cleaning a typical non-stick surface, you’re trying to deal with grooves and bumps in the cooking surface. It’s a complete hassle (for the record I have trying cooking exactly one thing in this pan, bacon, and bacon grease and residue is typically very easy to remove from a decent non-stick surface.The redeeming qualities about this pan are that it is gorgeous, and that the handle is perfect and doesn’t get hot. But when a “non-stick” pan is a pain to clean, well my friend that gets you one star.
