Forget about the fitbit, this actually works
I bought the Fitbit Inspire 3, returned it, and upgraded to Garmin. Here’s what I noticed between the two:Step count: Fitbit step count is ridiculously inaccurate, it counted hundreds of steps while I was sleeping or sitting. Garmin step count is indeed very accurate, it never miscounted when I was being still, and always on point when I quickly monitored it while I was walking.Heart rate: I can’t do intense workout so I have limited info on this. Generally it feels Garmin gives more accurate heart rate numbers and it’s abnormal heart rate alert is quick to react to your hr changes. Fitbit also has a hr alert but felt non-existent and is mainly for advertisement purpose.Ox saturation: Fitbit advertised they have this feature yet it is only available during sleep. Garmin has the option to monitor day and night Ox (this feature battery draining). Neither is accurate enough to replace an actual Ox monitor.Sleep track: Both are meh, I think this has to do with one’s sleeping habit as the tracker is relatively loose on your wrist while you move around during sleep. I think Garmin is betterish on tracking once I fell sleep, but both tends to mistaken my awake time.Unique feature from Garmin, the vivosmart shows your “body battery” and “stress level”. In general I think these mainly for entertaining purposes, but they are pretty much on point in terms of how I feel, especially so for the stress level monitor. The app: Garmin’s app is noticeably a lot more informative, fully accessible, no monthly fee. Some of the features such as a clear daily/weekly/monthly etc. trend of your health stats, as well as most stats let you see hourly or even greater detailed tracking. The interface is intuitive and straight to the point. Although finding settings on your tracker is a bit tricky in the app.I don’t really recall what the Fibit app looks like, except I remember I was unimpressed and users are constantly being reminded of the feature blocked by paywall. The tracker: Fitbit has prettier selection of watch face, while Vivosmart is monochrome. It’s less appealing but is easier to read in the sun. Both are informative. Although Vivosmart seems to have a really simplicit and minimal tracker, but you can acctually go into every stat detail on the tracker. The screen is small, so that such feature is less feasible, I mostly read it off the app.Battery: Fitbit has about 1 more day of battery life than Vivosmart.Aesthetic: Fitbit Inspire 3 is pretty plasticty, I tried the lavender band, wasn’t flattering, looks like a toy almost. Vivosmart has this muted sage color that I’d much prefer, the tracker itself also feels plasticty but is well tucked in the band and the band is really nicely crafted and feels much more comfortable on the skin.Overall I find that Vivosmart just has better sensors and delivers what they advertise.

Bought it for my 93 year old mother. She loves it!
The Garmin app is very helpful for a range of activity tracking. I find it very useful and so does my 93 year old mother!

Died after
The watch worked great for three months. Then one day, out of the blue, the button on the front stopped responding. A few days later the watch died completely. It is unrevivable and totally useless. I have had numerous Garmin products in the past, so this item was either defective to begin with or had been tampered with before it was sold to me. Regardless, completely unacceptable.

Solid Device
I love this thing! I used to use a fitbit luxe and this is better. The green light isn’t as harsh on my skin as the red light. The display is bigger and easier to see. It’s basic but solid. Oh, and the heart rate monitoring is better than the fitbit. Very happy with my purchase. My only criticism is it could come with more watch face displays.

Watch fell out of band after few months
I loved this watch and all it could do, EXCEPT:The wrist band doesn’t secure the watch well enough. It is soft and pliable. After several months of use, the watch fell out somewhere between home and a store. I didn’t notice it happen until I went to check it and saw it was missing. I searched thoroughly for it but could not find it.Since I used the watch for heart rate monitoring for health reasons, I wore the watch snug enough to get readings which I htought would keep the watch part secure in the band. Unofrtunately, the sides of the band around the watch are not firm enough in my experience.I researched watches extensively before buying this one for its features.I would love to use this watch but am reluctant to buy another in case this happens again.

You wont be disappointed! Love all the features it has, no subscription like fitbit, does everything the samsung watch does, not bulky & veryfit bit, also enjoy I can buy diff bands with this one unlike the past one I had..bands broke frequently since I farm I always hit it on something🤣 I used to have the old version of this liked everything but the charging..like how its been upgraded to plug rather than snap, if you had old one you know what i mean! Battery life is also great, i use all day everyday so far I only have to charge 1x/wk even use during sleep! Love how syncs with my MFP, I workout frequently & like the way it targets what I’ve done, muscles etc (see pic) enjoy app upgrade also! tried 3 diff watches from Samsung, hate them..hate they are round, hurt my wrist while sleeping, bulky, no battery lifeThis lil one does everything I enjoy & holds battery life amazing!

Unfortunately it was more suitable to a younger person.

Though it has more features than vivosmart 4 and is definitely an upgrade from the previous version, I don’t think I really like it more than the older version. For one, I didn’t like the bigger size and that button kept getting into the way. The new way to stop tracking is to hold the button down and then go back check on it again so UI wise it is more cumbersome than the previous version. Sometimes less is more and in this case, the more is indeed less. Tried to wear both vivosmart 4 and 5 together for a week, apparently both reflected different outomes. : /Works well as a basic tracker with more features, which I might grow to like.—-less than 10 mths after using it, the battery barely last a full day. omg. imagine a tracker where the battery life is as long as your mobile phone

The battery life is so amazing. It lasts me long uses. It usually lasts me 3-4 days without dying. The ease of use is very good, you can send texts and receive text even if you don’t have a sim card in your phone. You can get to the activity modes very easily. The functionality works like a charm it’s not hard to operate at all. The weight doesn’t even feel like anything one your wrist at all
