Amazing watch!
Amazing minimalist health watch. It provides all of the neccesary information at such a low price. The battery life is great comparing to my old apple watch. The garmin connect app is easy to use. 10/10

note to people: the wrist band might cause allergic reaction
this is overall a very good health tracker, if not for some minor problems:pro:1, the fucntionality are really good, get the improtant data you need without the unnecessary stuff like gps2, app show plenty of metrics, which is very useful3, charges pretty fastcon:1,for me, wrist band cause allergic reaction in certain situations, and there’s no none silicone alternatives, so i had to improvise with some tape2, app is useful, but i’d rather it work without online connection3, with all the sensors on, the battery life isn’t very long

Great watch
Such a great watch! I received one for Christmas as a gift, and my son had asked for one too. It measures your sleep, heart rate and many others. What l really like about it is that it counts your steps! Very impressed!!

Watch doesn’t track heart rate correctly
If you don’t start an activity on the watch, it doesn’t track the heart rate correctly. This is a major flaw in Garmin’s watches. It makes the watch pretty much useless.

Cannot choose default screen
The Vivosmart has “widgets” that are the screens that one can scroll through, such as Time/Date, Steps, Heart Rate. With the Vivosmart 4 one could choose any widget to be the default when you lift up your wrist to look at the screen. With the Vivosmart 5, the default is always the Time/Date, and one can only reorder subsequent widgets that can only be accessed by touching the screen and scrolling. This is a fitness tracker, not a watch, so when I’m exercising I want to be able to set the default to Heart Rate or Steps, and not have to touch the screen to scroll while I am running or exercising. (It is possible to have the Heart Rate on the Time/Date screen, but it is in tiny, tiny font that is completely unreadable for those of us with older or otherwise imperfect eyes.) Otherwise the Vivosmart 5 is okay, but I would not have bought it had I known they had removed this basic functionality.

Great tracker
First fitness tracker that I’ve owned, and I like it.The purpose of getting this was for me to better understand if I was being too sedentary when working from home, and to see how good/bad I was sleeping. The tracker is great at delivering good information about how active I am, and the sleep data seems pretty accurate as it describes pretty much how I feel when I wake up.I was a bit skeptical about the claimed battery life, but it’s pretty accurate. 6-7 days with daily workout tracking, wearing it all night, and without the consistent pulse ox monitoring.Picked this over a Fitbit and I’m happy with my selection.

So far, as dependable as the vivosmart 4
I replaced my vivosmart with a newer version as I lost the previous one on vacation. Garmin products have always been dependable products for the use I make of them. Both the watch and its app are easy to use and understand. The watch and it’s band are sturdy but not that fashionable.Unlike its predecessor, the vivosmart 5 has an actual button, which I appreciate – no mistapping possible. Battery life is also good. After 4 days, I’m at around 50% (started wearing it when it was at around 96%). I do not use the blood oxygen function, as it drains a lot of energy. The sleep tracking function is ok. It tracks your sleep and sleep phases, but not always? It’s odd: I get a message it didn’t get tracked, but later in the day, the data becomes available.Regardless, it is a dependable product.

Battery nowhere near as good as they say.
Functionally it does the job. I don’t recall a Garmin product that didn’t.As for the battery, I am pretty sure the only way to get 7 days out of it is to charge it fully, put it on first thing in the morning on Sunday (for example), where it until Monday morning, turn it off, don’t wear it again until Saturday morning when you turn it on again. Boom 7 days.I tried using all the functions I wanted the first day and battery last barely 30 hours. I turned off a bunch of the functions, turned down brightness, turned off notifications, turned off gestures, no auto tracking of activities, and I managed to get it to maybe 48 hours. So I have no idea how they tested it.

I have been looking for a low profile fitness tracker similar to my old vivosmart 3 for several months. This is it. The added features of the “5”, make it even better. Yes, it does everything the description says and the BR tracker is accurate ( I have watched too many videos talking about which tracker is the best, one shows 2 beats hi or vs another, etc. the reality is that any band, ring, chest band is going to have variances to actual). The fit and feel is most important to me in how often/long you will wear a tracker and this is perfect. Garmin APP is awesome, connection is easy and finally I appreciate the ease and acceptance of Amazon’s return process. If it weren’t for that I probably would have shopped elsewhere. Seriously, out of the three I bought (returned two), this was the most expensive. Amazon would not have gotten this sale, or as many continued purchases from me if it weren’t for that.

Got a Fenix 5x that I’ve used daily for years, but was getting tired of such a large item on my wrist. So i got this one. Liked it enough that I got another one for wife. Basic, easy to use for tracking things, comfortable enough to wear while sleeping. Battery length leaves something to be desired; maybe 4-5 days with pulse Ox on for sleep time only. Not a big deal, really. Take the time to calibrate steps, at least. And also invest in a screen protector. Being polycarbonate it’ll scratch up sooner or later. Might as well take care of it. Happy with the purchase.

Lleva 3 días y marcha muy bien el reloj y la calidad de la marca parece garantía. Solo que el de paquetería dejó el paquete fuera de casa solo. Cuando llegamos vimos pero bueno el producto bien.

This device was my third Garmin purchase after two Vivosmart 4s (the only issue with the 4 was the strap). However, the Vivosmart 5 does nothing well. The strap design is worse. The watch comes off the wrist in the middle of the night (so no sleep tracking). Yesterday, the screen was stuck with repeated reminders to add emergency contacts (and that too 3). Today, the screen is stuck with a 7-day overview. The battery life is the biggest disappointment, which lasts, arguably, less than an Apple watch (which was never the case with the Vivosmart 4).I’m just glad that I have kept the box and now I’m going to return it.
