Seven year old daughter loved this
My daughter loved this product although she worked through it very quickly and because of that, I would say it was overpriced

Very very great books. It is the most easier for parents who do not speak French to use. Kids love the audio. The audio is funny and infectious!

Great for beginners and the whole family. Nice illustrations, good quality, digital audio for pronunciation, and a teaching guide with ideas and some worksheet activities. Simple to learn and useful sentences. Having a physical book to hold paired with digital support is so great!

My 8-year-old nephew had started learning French through Rosetta Stone and had asked me for some additional French lessons. Having never taught French to kids before, I was unsure at first what resource to use, but I had certain criteria:1. It needed to have audio. This is EXTREMELY important, especially if the child does not have other ways of hearing French from a native speaker.2. It needed to be fun.3. It needed to teach words in context (story, song, video, etc). After doing some initial research, this book series seemed cute and manageable for a child to learn but not feel overwhelmed. The price seemed reasonable considering you get 10 books plus free audio.Well, we are 6 books in and so far they have been a success! Every week when I see my nephews I let the eldest pick a new book, then we read through it together. I give him one thing to focus on during the week (don’t pronounce final consonants, notice the soft “g” sound). He practices it at home during the week with the audio recording and then re-reads it to me the next time I see them. The audio is simply excellent! Great voice acting, and the additional sound effects really pull the story together and make it fun. The great part is that his two younger brothers and his mom also hear the audio and they are picking up French words here and there as well. (I also catch his two brothers sneaking over to look at the new book after the eldest gets his initial read-through. :P) I can definitely tell my nephew’s pronunciation is improving as well! After the initial 10 weeks of reading through the books (exposure to vocabulary and building up experience with the words), I am hoping to do another 10 weeks of lessons with the same books, but do additional activities to solidify and reinforce the vocab. I noticed on the Language Together website they have free lesson plan suggestions for activities, so I will probably use their ideas plus add some of my own. Et voilà, 20 weeks worth of lessons out of these little books. 🙂 Hopefully after we can move on to the 2nd set of books!

I’m a French professor who teaches adults and wanted to start teaching French to my six year-old (who has always resisted learning other languages). These books are perfect for introducing French in an easy breezy way. My child doesn’t realize he’s doing something educational. He just likes the fun pictures and repeating the phrases. Hopefully next time I take him to France, he will actually be able to communicate a bit with the other kids on the playground !

I love this set of French readers! We are learning French at home as beginners and these readers really helped us a lot. Each reader comes with a theme such as greetings, colors, shapes, body parts etc, and the sentence is simple with repetition (great for beginners!!). There is English translation for each sentence and vocabulary (save me the trouble of checking the dictionary). The online audio (downloadable) feature is absolutely wonderful for practicing pronunciation and listening skills. I would recommend this for all French beginners.** I’ve bought both Set 1 and Set 2 and one reader out of the 20 readers was misprinted. I wrote to the publisher and they sent me a replacement immediately with follow-up confirmation. To be honest, I didn’t expect such efficient yet friendly responses at all considering that I am overseas. I am very satisfied with this purchase and will not hesitate to buy from them again if they have any new French readers.

The set overall is great for my 5 year old boy who has taken to learning French. The theme of each book in the set is a nice touch and the pictures are super cute. I like how each book cover has the translation for the main words you’ll be reading along with the translation per page. The only reason I removed a star is because one of our books has the wrong book cover attached so the translations don’t match up with the story. That was disappointing. I would like to have this corrected so my little one can have the translations attached to the book.
