    We had this camera system for our first child. It worked fine until the monitor stopped working/ would randomly turn off (not on sleep mode btw). Customer support told us they couldn’t help us, so we had to buy a replacement. This second monitor suddenly broke when the audio stopped working — leaving my baby crying until I check the video to see if she’s awake (I can’t watch it 24/7). We bought a THIRD monitor, and it is now not compatible with any of our cameras. So now we have 3 kids, 3 cameras, no working monitor and no way to monitor our 3 children – all under 4 years old (including a newborn). My husband (a biomedical engineer- he fixes MRI machines for a living) has spent hours on the phone with customer support trying to get them to send us the correct firmware (its not on the websites) and they keep saying they don’t know how to fix it and will “get back to us.” That was WEEKS ago.I checked the website and the only reviews on there are exactly like mine- it works, then it breaks, then they won’t help.Invest in a different baby monitor. We wish we had.

    This is my second monitor. Battery life on it does not last very long.Update. They replaced it and have had no issues.

    Update: I heard from someone else in their support (escalated to Anker). They responded that because I bought the device as refurbished, it only has a three month warranty. I’m not going to adjust my rating… First, someone told me it was only a month and then suddenly it’s three months. The problem I have is that there is no mention of buying the “refurbished” one that only comes with this reduced warranty, even though it comes right from Eufy/Anker. To be clear though, I did buy the reduced price one they sell here (at a cost of $79 rather than $99). It’s unfortunate because they then try to tell me they’ll make it up to me by offering 15% off. If they just simply honored the 1 year warranty for their refurbished units as well as new, I would have no issue.Original review:So I bought this in December of last year to already replace an older one in which the receiver went bad. It was legitimately a couple years old, so it was nice to find this where I could just buy the unit without the camera. Ten months later, this replacement I bought crapped out. The display just stopped working. The sound still worked though, but display wouldn’t turn on. I figured okay, I’ll open a request with Eufy and see what they can do. They asked me to go through some generic troubleshooting of which I had already tried and it didn’t work. They asked for my shipping address and then after that, they said the unit I bought had it’s warranty expire in January, a whopping one month after I bought it. Literally the return window with Amazon was greater than their warranty period. I then wrote back and asked where on the warranty page on their own web said this. Suddenly no more communication from them.Luckily for me, my kids are old enough now where I really don’t need the video feature and I’m just going to use the audio monitor that I bought last year when I found the reliability on the previous display was less than adequate. This unit and it’s cameras are headed to the recycling pile. Never buying another Eufy product again.

    We opened the monitor and tried to pair it, it wouldnt pair. We tried updating all the firmware and it didn’t improve. Then my husband realized you have to update the monitor and camera under the firmware “space view” – it worked! Thank goodness. We love our Eufy monitor!Only thing that’s different is it definitely seems to not get as loud as our original. Not a huge deal but notable

    This feels very much like a way to scam parents out of money. Our Eify monitor worked fine for about 2 years but the battery life was trash after we had our second baby. Got this replacement and the firmware wasn’t compatible but the cameras wouldn’t show up on my computer when I tried to update them (support just wanted me to buy more cables when I had already tried several). The camera still worked even with the firmware warning, though, so we kept using them. A couple months into using this replacement monitor its battery life is nothing. It says fully charged, then blinks red that it’s dying, then if we turn it off and on it’ll say 3 bars. The last straw for me was that it randomly turned off even when plugged in. Scary when using it to hear your young kids!! We have abandoned the Eify system entirely now and this replacement monitor was a complete waste of money.
