    Originally I purchased this to use it for baking sourdough. It arrived in perfect shape. However, once I read the instructions, I found out this pot is not designed for long-term high heat temps. So if you are looking to use it for bread baking, this is not the pot for it. The high heat will cause it to chip. It’s a beautiful, heavy, good quality dutch oven that is great for anything that doesn’t require super high heat for extended time.

    Works well for sourdough bread. Not as well built as some of the others but good for the price. Size is large and will fit a huge loaf of bread. The lid doesn’t fit as well as I would like but other than that a solid buy.

    My first time cooking in a Dutch Oven and boy what I’ve been missing I used it on the stove with medium-low heat I cooked 6lbs of Bison in less than 40 min the lid design is ingenious the moisture just drips back down into the meats maintaining nutrients better than the pan browning I chose black because I’ve seen reviews where ppl complained about chipping so if it did chip it wouldn’t be so bad in black, to be honest, I don’t care as long as it cooks like it does price was nice functioned well on the stovetop on the medium-low size I was impressive I cooked 6lbs of Bison and probably could’ve at least cooked 7-8 lbs im considering buying another
