Excellent!
This book is very impressive as it takes you through the reasons of emotional eating and then guides you to look at eating another way. It gives great advice on how to stay compassionate with your food consumption and outlines realistic methods to keep on track with your goals. Lots of charts to download which I love. The best part of this book really is how you deal with setbacks. We all go through setbacks and end up beating ourselves up. This book will help you get through those as well. I also like the prompt to get support by a Registered Holistic Nutritionist – that’s key since they know all the holistic ways to heal through food. Highly recommend this one for anyone struggling with emotional eating. Like everyone!

Break free from emotional eating
I picked up this book on a friend’s recommendation, and I’m glad I did. Even though it’s geared towards women, the strategies are universal. Easy to implement, helping me understand my triggers and make healthier choices.

Sage Advice from a Warm Heart
Kitty’s book is a valuable resource for individuals seeking keen insight on the intangible aspects of emotional eating to bring into their everyday life. As an author, Kitty examines and explains a number of strategies and methods for identifying patterns and validates emotions of anyone who has ever reached for a bag of chips instead of a journal when dealing with high emotions. This is a great book which resonates with the kindness and warmth of the author. Each chapter is carefully and thoughtfully laid out, with many helpful anecdotes that remind readers to tend to mindfulness and patience when working through emotions.

If you struggle with emotional eating, this is an excellent resource to help you overcome it. Not only is it full of information on why we over eat, there are practical guides and steps to help the reader identify WHY they over eat and how to overcome it. This is not a one-size fits all approach. Once you discover your individual triggers, it gives you practical application of methods to overcome then when they occur.

The 4-Step S-T-O-P Method mentioned in this book is enlightening and straightforward, offering practical steps that have already improved how I manage my triggers. Initially doubtful, I found that this book profoundly deepened my understanding of emotional eating. The Mindful Meal Plan and the Self-Love Checklist are fantastic resources that motivate me to choose healthier options every day. This book brilliantly tackles the underlying issues with a kind and nonjudgmental tone, offering easy-to-apply and genuinely effective advice. Highly recommended for anyone eager to escape the cycle of emotional eating and master their eating habits

Yes, we do have a relationship with food. Many of us use food to cope our emotional hunger. The author shares her own experience with food to deal with stress and past trauma. This book gives the underlying reasons behind this behavior, including physiological factors, as well as social and media influences. It also provides a list of possible triggers that cause the urge to eat. I like the quizzes, tips, and strategies in this book.

This book on emotional eating is super helpful for anyone who struggles with binge eating comfort foods. It explains that emotional eating isn’t really about the food; it’s about what’s going on inside. The easy-to-follow strategies and caring approach guide readers to figure out triggers and build a better relationship with food and body image. The four-step method and mindful meal plan make it easy to start making changes. This book has helped me control my eating habits.

I’m not a believer in fate but this book almost fell into my lap at exactly the right time. There are so many gems here. It is written with compassion and is easy to follow. There are numerous ideas that I have never heard before (and believe me I’ve been delving into this space on and off for years!) If you’re hesitating don’t – this book is the real deal. I particularly like the idea of recognising the craving as something separate from you, like clouds passing over. Also mindfulness when eating (which I’ve heard before) but Kitty takes you through this in a way that sounds less like torture and more like something worth giving a go.
