Love the size. Not too big not too small.
I love my oval Dutch oven. It’s a great size for casseroles, bread, soups etc. Easy to clean.

the quality looks pretty good, the only issue I can see so far is the fact that the lid does not sit completely flat on the pot, like it is slightly warped. I am thinking that it shouldn’t really bother anything but honestly with a defect such as this it should be pulled or sold as defective. Price is right and the finish looks pretty good. Nice size for a whole chicken.

Super heavy oven, retains heat well. Bought this initially to make larger loaves of sourdough. Have attempted to get a giant bowl out of it. Seal is not as tight as some of my other cast pans

Even though I measured this out on a piece of cardboard, this is a whole lot bigger than I envisioned. Definitely family size. Or as a single person, big enough to make a weeks – or two – worth of soup or enough of a casserole to freeze lots of portions for later use. It is definitely cast iron – very heavy. The outer enamel is applied with a kind of subtle ripple effect – not totally smooth, but it looks deliberate, not like bad application. The inside enamel is very smooth. It has a screw on top knob to the lid, which I’m not too fond on on heavy pieces of cookware because they always seem to loosen and need frequent retightening. I really like the handles – the loop is big enough for me to get all my fingers in so I can lift it securely. The price seems in the ball park for a dutch oven this size. This is one of those things that if taken care off will last a hundred years or so.
