Not new
This product was definitely not new when I received it. The box was pretty damaged (pressed corner and torn tabs). There was dust and a hair under the lid handle (between the glass and the screwed on handle). And a few scratches on the bottom.

This is by far my favorite vessel for cooking. The heat distribution is perfect, it is easy to clean, and it still looks great after more three years of use. It is the ideal depth for making a large batch of chili or pasta sauce. Although the cooking surface is not non-stick, the most I have to do to clean it is give it a short soak. Many reviewers have complained about the lid, and I agree that its design could use improvement. I clean the lid immediately after use and allow it to dry fully in the dish rack, and I have had zero problems with it. There has been no problem with rust, but hard water stains do occur. They are easily removed by a quick scrub with steel wool pad. This pan has quality well above the sales price, and the quality of workmanship will allow it to remain in service for a long time.

Nearly two years owing and using this pot/pan set constantly, the wife and I are in agreement there are just none better, at any price. Rivetless pots/pans are few and far between, but once you clean them a few times you will never go back. SO easy, and no rivets inside to worry about gunk building up, and having to clean around. Cooking evenness is amazing, the weight of the pans is superbly light considering the superb quality, and the wife absolutely adores their ability to withstand the dishwasher and/or clean by hand. “It’s a breeze to clean these,” she says. Paired with a nice flattop stove, properly leveled, cooking with these Saflon pots/pans is just over the top and excellent experience. They are holding up superbly well, and earn a solid 5 stars across the board from us. Our advice: spend the money- it is worth every penny in the long run. We’d order them again in a heartbeat.

This pot appears to be sturdy and well made. It has some heft to it, not made of thin stainless steel like cheaper pots. I really like that the handles are bolted on so that they’ll never loosen (i.e., no screws to tighten regularly like with other pots). My only problem with this pot is that it’s too shallow for my needs. The Saflon 4 qt pot is 10 inches in diameter (inside pot without measuring handles) and it’s 3.5 inches tall. My old cheapie 4 qt pot measured 5 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter and it was perfect for my needs.

I’ve been using this pot for months now. You can tell that it’s a quality product just from picking it up and looking at it. It’s got a good solid weight and distributes heat evenly. Whatever the price is I can say that it’s worth every penny.
