This worked on the charge it came with, and has never charged since despite trying multiple different outlets and charging blocks. Will be returning. My daughter is bummed. Waste of money.**update: we managed to get it charged but it is by far waterproof. It was worn ONCE in a light drizzle and it is fried.**FURTHER UPDATE! A customer service rep reached out directly, and without hesitation sent a new watch which is working great. Good battery life, but we might not risk water exposure again. I think the first one was a lemon, but this one is perfect!

This product runs off an app with a continuous bluetooth connection to a cell phone. In order to use it, you need to allow excessive permission to the phone. It tracks everything from phone location to contacts to permission to read messages of the PHONE, not necessarily the watch. It also requires the app to be running at all times, and superceded any do not disturb function. It doesn’t make sense. If this is a product for kids, I don’t know many kids that would have a cell phone, and the parent will not always be close enough for this bluetooth to be maintained. I can’t think of why it would need such broad access to private information or constant connection to a cell phone unless the true purpose of this watch is to harvest information. If you don’t grant the permission, you can’t move forward with the watch set up. There is no option to opt out of the information access. Also, it expressly says that due to the privacy terms, it should not be used by anyone under the age of 14. I don’t recall reading that anywhere in the product description, and the watch was specifically marketed for kids. I’m not sure why other reviews haven’t mentioned this, I never would have purchased this product if I had known. In terms of the actual app, when I did try and go in it, the directions don’t match the interface and are not user friendly. If the child wants to change the background etc, it needs to be done on the parents’ phone. We saw this on prime day deals but will definitely be returning for a real fit bit. I’d rather spend the money than deal with this watch that barely works and watches my every move.

great for my kids
I bought two watches for my two kids. one for my boy and one for my girl. Good value for the price. They never take it off except to charge it. It is super user-friendly. This comes in lots of colors including my daughter’s favorite purple. Easy to look through on my phone. The battery is ok for two days. It is a simple watch, but perfect for a child with simple functions. The display is really clear and easy for him to read and it isn’t over complicated like some smartwatches. I think this watch is a great gift for all kids.

I got this watch for my 6 year old daughter who has been having health issues that have been affecting her heart. I wanted to be able to monitor her heart rate without impeding on her life and allowing her to just be a kid. (Check her heart rate without her knowing so she can just go on being a kid and play and not have to worry about it). The watch measures her heart rate throughout the day and when my phone comes close enough to sync with it the heart rate data log appears on the app on my phone, on the app I can then look back across several days to see if there has been any changes to the trends on her heart rate, very helpful!

I am an adult but have very small wrists. Watches for women are all too big for me. I wanted a cute health tracking watch with a band that would fit me so I gave this one a try and purchased it during Amazon Prime Days. I am very happy with the watch. It was easy to follow the instructions that came with the watch and download the app for health tracking (pedometer, sleep cycles and heart rate). I have not figured out when it needs charging in advance really…so it has stopped working a few times needing a charge. (It pretty much needs to be recharged about twice a week.)The band fits my hand on almost the tightest setting. (I do wonder if the band would fit on a small girl’s hand without needing to somehow punch additional holes in the band??) It comes with two bands. For the money, it is a super purchase. I am very “low tech” and an still able to figure out how to use this watch. I hope I am able to find additional bands that work for this watch if I want to wear it with a different color or with something dressy. I am a happy customer.
