    My favourite slow cooker!
This slow cooker is my favourite kitchen appliance! I use it at least twice a week. I also have a Hamilton Beach 6 quart programmable slow cooker. I really like that one too, but I find it a bit big for regular use. I shopped around to find something smaller, and ended up purchasing this one a few months ago. This is a really cute lightweight appliance, and it doesn’t take up much room on the counter. It is the perfect size for around 2-4 servings of food, or a side dish.I work alot so the programming feature is absolutely essential. There’s nothing worse than coming home to the smell of burnt food (cabbage and beets are a nightmare!). I hate the taste of slow cooked food when it’s overdone. I also find the idea of dumping cans of soup into the slow cooker unappealing. I like to use more “gourmet” recipes and cookbooks for cooking in the slow cooker, and I don’t mind spending a bit of prep time to use fresh ingredients. Most of these recipes and cookbooks usually require strict cooking times. This slow cooker is great, because I can set the cooking time and leave the house for the day. When it’s done it switches to warm. ALL of the recipes I’ve made have been perfectly cooked! Some of my favourite things to cook in this slow cooker are: marinara sauce, smaller batches of soup, pork tenderloin, a small meat loaf, mashed potatoes (who knew?) and chicken breasts.Oh, and the PERFECT companion cookbook for this is the book “Not Your Mother’s Slow Cooker: Recipes for Two” by Beth Hensperger. The recipes in the book work perfectly with the 3.5 quart size and can easily be doubled for 4 servings.

    Perfect.
This is the ideal slow cooker for two people. The base is small enough that the liquid and protein in the average recipe are balanced and the protein doesn’t dry out, as with small quantities in a larger slow cooker. It heats up very quickly—-far faster than my large crock pot—–and the timer is intuitive and so very easy to use. The ‘warm’ button does keep things good and warm, not tepid. I would recommend this appliance to any empty-nester, or young couple, or singlet. Even a small family can cook good-sized single-dinner meals. But frankly, I love leftovers :>) Also! The ceramic interior fits very neatly into my fridge—-something I could never accomplish with the larger slow cooker. All-in-all, I can’t think of a single problem with it, and I’m absolutely delighted with my purchase.

Cuisinart PSC-350C 3.5 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker
It works very well….high, low and automatically advancing onto warm setting. The programmable feature is a must to get the most out of slow cooking. I’m sure I had the original slow cooker of 30 years ago…..high or low, take your choice! Being able to set the time yourself puts you in control of how your meal turns out. A word to the wise, if I knew the recipe would be finished quite awhile before eating I would use the low setting since it will continue to cook to some degree on the warm setting. Nice to look at and takes little space on the counter or in the cupboard. It is small, good for 2 maybe 3 people, so if you like leftovers for lunch the next day or to put in the freezer for another day, you might be well to look at a 4 or 5 quart cooker.

    Not a good purchase
Third try at cooking a stew. Does not cook vegetables in the “quoted” time in recipes. Cut the potatoes in small 1/2″ cubes this time. Cooked for 15 hours on Low this time. At 12 hours the potatoes and carrots were still firm and no, I did not lift the lid. At the end of 12 hours added 2.5 more hours on low and then 2 hours on high. By then the turnips and meat were well cooked, the carrots and potatoes were still firm. If I had cooked the stew in a Dutch oven I would have cut the vegetables in much larger pieces and everything would have been cooked in 1/4 the time. Took late to return the item

    Great Quality and Features
I originally ordered a much cheaper brand name crock pot and was so disappointed by the poor quality that I returned it and swapped for this Cuisinart. It has all of the features the average slow cooker user will ever need, a recipe book to help you get started, and is an ideal size for a single person, couple or small family of 3-4.

    Perfect Size
This is a very nice slow cooker. The size is perfect for my family of 4. Would definitely buy again.

Great for potlucks or family meals
We do a lot of potlucks at church and at work. This pot is easy to carry and transport to those. The ability to lift out the pot makes it so that it doesn’t take up a lot of room when time to serve. The temperatures and timer are great! love this purchase!

    Could have been nice
I like this size of slow cooker for 1-2 people. It’s got nice features in the digital timer with automatic warming and the simmer function. Being stainless steel it gets really hot on the outside and that is the only design issue I can think of. Also you need to stick to small roasts or recipes otherwise things don’t cook evenly in small slow cookers if packed to the top. The issue I had which made me return it is that the ceramic pot has some large scratches and one tall bubble in the finish that will break off into the food eventually when stirring. I tried to deal with Cuisinart customer service and simply get a new ceramic pot but they said to deal with Amazon. So it could only be returned.I’ve included pictures but keep in mind the camera does it no justice, the bubbles and scratches are worse looking in person. I marked the issues with a red arrow in the pictures. I probably just got a defective one, I doubt they all could be like this.

I already own about five crockpots, however, I bought this one because I was looking for a smaller crockpot (only cooking for three people) that also had the feature that it turned over to ‘warm’, (instead of turned off), at the end of the actual cooking cycle. I have only used it a couple times, but so far I am very pleased with this and have no issues with it. I work all day and am gone from 8 to 9 hours so I absolutely LOVE the feature where it goes over to the warm cycle. The two things that I have cooked so far have come out fantastic. And that wouldn’t be because of my cooking abilities LOL.

I have owned several slow cookers over the years. The most recent one was a beautiful one that I purchased at Target, black and white from Crock Pot. However after reading a number of articles online, I realized that I might have a problem on my hands with the lead. I researched the matter and discovered that the glaze often contains lead. Upon researching further, I discovered that the Cuisinart model was BPA free. It is not easy to find kitchenware that is BPA free. I was pleased to see that. The next question was, was it lead-free? I called Cuisinart and they adamantly indicated that the slow cooker was lead free. For someone who needed to use her crock pot daily, almost 24/7, I really need a healthy crock pot. What is the point of cooking healthy foods if the container that I cook them in, is hazardous to my health? I was hesitant about the bulk aspect of the unit because I have a small kitchen and was concerned that it would take a lot of space. However based on the Amazon reviews and on the fact that the slow cooker is both BPA and lead free, I decided to order it. I could not have made a better choice on the planet!!!! First of all, this is the FIRST slow cooker that I have owned that is cool to the touch. Second, my food does not boil on low, and I lose ZERO water content. I needed an excellent slow cooker to make bone broths which have tremendous medicinal qualities (see Weston A. Price Foundation). And I had read about some persons being so serious about bone broths, that they had a perpetual broth going. To do that, I did not want to come home to a fire because of a deficient slowcooker. With this Cuisinart, I can make a lot of bone broth, the broth keeps going for 3 days, and after 24 hours, I do not have to worry, it goes to warm and then shuts down. because it is cool to the touch, my counter is not heated as was the case with the cheap crock pot brand. As for the bulk size, the slow cooker looks very beautiful on my counter. I have so far made lots of chicken broth, delicious, beef broth and fish broth. I use the bones for beef (knuckles, cartilage and feet as well as bone marrow), for fish (the heads) and for chicken (feet, back, head). I have noticed great improvement in my health, digestive system, excellent sleep. Please read online about all of the benefits of bone broth which man has been doing for thousands of years. Anyway, you will NOT regret purchasing this cuisinart. It is really of a very good quality. Enjoy!!!!Whatever negative review may be out there, I would not worry about it. It is probably a unique single incident. You will ENJOY your Cuisinart slow cooker. And for the price, BPA and Lead free!!!! Enjoy.

Perfect size for cooking 4 or 5 sweet potatoes, halved winter squash, or making soup. I subtracted 1 star because I can’t delay the start several hours or simply use my external timer like I can on my 8 quart cooker. Why is the manufacturer responsible for making sure I’m not dumb enough to delay cooking meat or dairy and making my family sick? If you don’t need to delay the start, this is a 5 star product, honest.

  12. Kuntry Klucker

This is a great crock pot. I am an avid crock pot cooker and make just about everything in my crock pot, even breakfast. I have had many crock pot brands and have used them till they just stopped working. My last crock potwhich I replaced was an old Rival that served me for 11 years. Upon it retirement which put me back into the crock pot market I marveled at all the new and updated features available. I wanted one that was programmable since I do much of my cooking over night.I noticed with some of the negative reviews of this model along with other brands that I was considering was that the programmable feature has been troublesome with shutting off. This was the most common complaint with all the crock pots with this particular feature. I assumed it be to a problem with all crock pots with this feature so I could not hold this against the product as with other brands with the same feature. I own many Cuisinart products, pots, pans and coffee maker to name a few. I have had very good success with this brand and chose the crock pot based upon my experience with the Cuisinart products that I own and use.Upon first use of the this crock pot I was very pleased. We love southern food and cook it often. One of our families favorite is crock pot grits breakfast casserole. It cooks all night long and is ready in the morning. With our schedules a crock pot breakfast is just about the best shot we have at a good home cooked breakfast. Most of the other crock pots that I have used in the past burnt the grits some which we have gotten used to and just eat around the burned parts. The Cuisinart crock pot did not burn the grits, we were so surprised and pleased. It cooks a lot cooler which is good, the other ones even on low cooked at a higher temps often lightly scorching the meals.I will have to say that I am once again very pleased with the Cuisinart Products and Quality. This is the first crock pot that I have not bought at Wal-Mart which is not surprising that the quality is much better and the meals come out much more appealing. You can not go wrong in my opinion with the Cuisinart Crock Pot. It is a great crock pot with wonderful results.

  13. Alexander’s Mom

After hanging on to my crock pot for 32 years, my mother suggested I upgrade to this one. It has features I never even dreamed of! Eg.I never realized you should never leave the house if you have one of the old-fashioned crock pots cooking. I always did… But with this one, you just set the timer and when the food’s done, it goes into a “warm” mode eliminating the worry that it might go up in flames while you’re out!I also really love that I can take the insert out to wash. Plus it’s very spacious. I have yet to fill it up for just the two of us, but nice to know I can cook for a small crowd if needed. The retractable cord is terrific. The unit looks so good I just leave it out on the counter – which also encourages me to use it more often. Important safety feature if you have children: the insulation is more than adequate, keeping the entire unit a safe temperature. Even the insert can be handled without pot holders.Get this one – well worth the extra money!
